The rare ability is not working properly atm, so until its fixed, just use the second option as i mentioned in the video

Without the rare ability you can do 3 hits of Basic into reverse ult for great dmg plus when you ult after 2 hits of air attack reverse it as well and they get pelted for good dmg nice vid!

I think it was a bug, the rare ability seems broken atm, I mean literally, it's not working right

How can i play this mode of smash legends ? And how to figure our if our opposition is bots or not?

You can't yet. You will have to wait until tomorrow to access the character and buy the pass. You can only get early access by applying before next pass in the offical server
