these are such a joy to watch, the combination of narration with the graphics make it clear and easy to follow. Wow, someone really did it. EXCELLENT NARRATION & PRESENTATION! Seriously, this is what I've wanted to see. Genius simplicity. Funnily enough, I was just thinking yesterday about how long it would be before someone produced easy-to-follow cEDH gameplay. Thank you guys, I sincerely appreciate your content. As for input, I will say the immediate opening to the video is a bit "generic" because of the blocky white text. Though the opening "title" was a bit plain and pale (white text on a light background), I did pick up on the nice transition effects that were used. Made me go from "Hm" to "Hmm... ☝️ This is going to be good." By the way, the animated background looks like "Super Polymerization" from Yu-Gi-Oh! so I was like "Huh, cool. This is Magic right?" Haha. Anyway, though the simple text may not make the most spectacular intro title, it works well for the actual presentation. I would say it's like I'm watching a tutorial, and as someone who's eager to see how cEDH decks perform, this was right on the money. One thing that could be added is a transparent "Turn" counter along the right edge of the screen at the center.

@@generussell6145 it stayed around because sometimes in card games you don't draw an answer to a threat and just die to it, for all we know that's what happened, that or everyone just assumed the player to their left would care enough to do it, which is also possible, since these guys fetch for duals EoT when they have shocks in the deck. Again, looking up a decklist for competitive//high-power environments is standard practice, you need to make sense of the format and what's good in it. Refusing to do it, handicapping your deckbuilding by not doing your homework is just a way to justify the salt//elitism of a contrarian point of view, not mentioning more likely to make you end up with inadequate interaction. Just found your channel recently, and recently have gotten into cEDH. Really enjoying the content. Want to point out that Don didn't need to kill the Phyrexian Revoker to be able to flicker the Coiling Oracle. The Revoker may have named Deadeye Navigator, but the soulbound mechanic gives both creatures that ability. The Revoker would keep the Navigator from flickering (and therefore resetting) itself, but would not stop the Oracle, as it is the Oracle's ability. Thanks again for the great content!

Thus means I made multiple illegal plays last year. It's a bummer and really hurts her viability.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that last play was an illegal one. When you cast Strategem and choose 0 creatures, that locks in your selection. He would however have been able to cast strategem targeting Naru, then Chain Naru, then cast Naru copying the Strategem. And produce the desired effect.

There was a missed rules interaction on Ryan's part. Naming Deadeye Navigator with Phyrexian Revoker does not have the effect he intended, as the card states, "Each of those creatures has". If he wanted to stop the flickering of Coiling Oracle, he would have had to name Coiling Oracle with the revoker. It did not end up mattering this game, but it's something to be aware of as the player running revoker.

I play cEDH regularly and love these. Every episode I find a new and interesting card to purchase and put into a deck. I have one question and one suggestion. The question is, where do you film? I would love to come around (if possible) and record a game. I have experience playing on camera and I am 100% certain a few of my decks can hang. My suggestion. In cEDH knowing how many cards in everyone's hand is a critical piece of information. Maybe include a counter that tells us how many cards each player has? It's especially important if a spell like Rhystic Study resolves. I suppose I could keep track of it myself, but then I would be spending more time focused on keeping track of everyone's hand, and less time enjoying the video. Food for thought. Keep up the great work!

Fantastic suggestion! We play in and around Dayton, Ohio. Right now screen real estate is at a premium and we don't want our videos to end up just looking like a giant slot machine with things flickering around too much. We had requests about seeing what was in each person's hand, but that' s a logistical issue that's too big to tackle at the moment. We can definitely see about potentially seeing the amount of cards in people's hand though. We could probably track that without too much issue. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Unfortunately, Jacob should not have won here. Illusionist's Stratagem was put on the stack with zero targeted creatures, so when Jacob flashed in Naru Meha and copied Illusionist's Stratagem, he copied Illusionist's Stratagem along with all modes and targets of the original, meaning he couldn't flicker Naru Meha to then start the combo. Illusionist's stratagem exiles creatures and them immediately returns them to the battlefield. Naru Meha's effect is an enter the battlefield, and not a cast effect, meaning when you flash her out, while the stratagem is on the stack, she can keep comboing off the effect of her copy of the strategem that exiles her, then lets her re-enter battlefield, where she copies the stratagem and it targets her again, either ad infinitum or until (in this case Jacob) decides to no longer target Naru Meha. He stopped the combo before he would have drawn himself to death, plays a card that has an effect which changes the rules for drawing from your deck, which made jacob win as he played a spell that made him draw.

It was there. I was dealing with some audio issues on this one and it came out too quiet. Sorry :/

Good stuff, but the decks aren't what I would call competitive when a rhystic study stays on the board so long with two green players there. Keep up the good work!

Jacob didn't win out of nowhere. After taking a timestretch, it was pretty obvious he was on the brink of winning.

Oona had to take a short hiatus because he welcomed a new baby into the world!

Named Deadeye with revoker but Deadeye gives the paired creature the ability so him naming it was whatever.
