Face it, most of you are complaining about nothing. If the manga isn't pleasing you, just drop it. It's not like anyone is forcing you to read it, or has forced you to read it for over 680+ chapters.

Can you honestly read the latest chapter of Naruto and say that nothing has changed since the beginning? You act as if there is nothing to complain but there is. IQ178 of course things have changed, pre-dominantly the scale. People go off the false assumption that "bigger" battles are worse. What does it matter how large the scale has gotten? It was obvious from the very beginning of the show that these "ninja" were capable of large scale battles (as referenced by the telling of how Kurama got put inside Naruto). Kishi just didn't show their full potential. No one complained when The sannin had an all out monster brawl in part 1, and Tsunade could split the ground with her finger. These are god level shinobi light years ahead of them, their battles *should* be enormous in scale.

Kyuubiroar1 The problem isn't just the increased scale--it's also about how much it's increased in such a short amount of time and who it's increased for. The scale didn't increase when shinobi other than Naruto were working their assess off to become better and reach their goals. It increased when a bunch of dead people came back to life. Then it increased when the Naruto gained control of the Kyuubi. Then it increased when the Juubi was revived. Then it increased when Naruto and Sasuke learned they were reincarnations of two super powerful beings that the audience had known nothing about until a few chapters ago. Then it increased AGAIN when Madara was overtaken by Kaguya's spirit. And know we have the mess that is Naruto Chapter 680. In the end, the issue at hand is not what was done but how poorly it was executed.

Kishimoto must have been watching the Frieza Saga before writing this chapter because the setting of this Naruto and Sasuke vs Kaguya fight, looks just like Namek did as it was exploding. Just with the addition of a giant volcano and a random castle on the side. I really wonder if this other dimension that they're fighting in is Kaguya's home or not. If it is then that would be interesting. Also, I really loved Sasuke's attitude in this chapter especially, because even though he comes across as an asshole he has his priorities straight like always.

I've always liked Sasuke as a character even though his character gets a bit contradicting at times, but hey at least he works for his main character status. Also this would be a great time to get rid of Obito, maybe Kakashi would need to let him fall into the lava to pull himself and Sakura to safety. It'd be a proper send off and one of the few times where flashbacks of Kakashi's old team is good timing. Also please don't turn Hinata into a Zetsu. It wouldn't be bad story telling, but it'd be a shame to waste a perfectly good set of boo- I mean eye's.

On the Zetsu origins, I have a theory. Originally they were said to have come from Hashirama's cells, now apparently they come from the shinju. It would make sense for Hashirama who has wood style to be the base of Zetsu. I mean wood style, giant tree, wood style suppresses tailed beasts, the ten-tails came from the tree and all the tailed beasts come from the ten-tails.

Now itachi is strong ah fuh and a bad ass, unlike sasgay he barely used his susano EVER and used amateratsu only when he had to because he knew how much of a strain it put on him and he knew he wasn't gonna get saved by obito when he was near death. Sasuke is not a good leader, he doesn't inspire loyalty or teamwork in anyone. He is becoming Danzo Jr. He is focused, but when it all comes down to it, he is saving himself, but to save himself he has to help save the World. Kakashi & Sakura aren't there just as spectators, and If anyone thinks so they're fooling themselves. Down the line I wouldn't be surprised If one of them end up saving Sasuke somehow, making him eat those words. Kishi is known for pulling twist.

Ninja's are the warriors of that world. They pursue that path fully expecting to eventually die on the battlefield. So much so that that death is a great honor for them. They are the tools to achieve the greater good, the preservation and prosperity of life of the citizens they stand to protect. Sasuke realizes the world isn't black and white. That there isn't always a "Everyone makes it out alive and happy" option. The reality is, that's almost never the case. He's willing to make sacrifices to achieve his goal. The *whole planet is at stake* here, and he realizes that he and Naruto are its only hope. I'm sure he's more than willing to protect others when he can; He's not carelessly throwing out lives. He's making it clear, that Naruto can't be so careless with his life. Naruto must understand that if he dies, even if it was to save the closest thing to his family, everyone dies, including the people he just tried to protect. Naruto would make a terrible leader on his own, he's far too short sighted. And Sasuke is a bit too merciless (that's not a terrible trait to have, it's better than too benevolent, but ideally the best trait is in the middle ground) That's why I personally believe that both of them will share the position. As equals, unlike Madara and Hashirama. Assuming they don't die taking out the big bad that is.

This is probably just me overthinking this, but I feel like the manga will end with... no couples. Just a thing about "friendship". Kakashi will go back to teaching a new generation of ninjas, we'll probably have one Hokage, since Kishimoto will give us a crazy twist at the end, either killing Sasuke: ("I'll protect this village for you... Sasuke.) Or Naruto: ("Your actions have taught us more than words could... Naruto." *fade to black*) Hinata will be single, and her goal will be to become strong enough to protect the village, just like Naruto-kun... and we'll get a panel of Shikamaru and Temari in a hospital together, holding a bored-looking blonde baby.

Even after joining Naruto's side he still treats everyone around him like shit and didn't even try to reconcile with the others. He just showed up out of the blue and said "Hey guys I'm back. By the way I'm going to be Hokage after this and if you don't like it well then fuck you." The only person he even tried to apologize to was Karin and even then it was just a basic "Sorry". How can you say that Sasuke is a good leader if he can toss his allies aside like that? Yeah they shouldn't be in the battle but that doesn't mean Sasuke can leave them to die. Just take them to a distant area and tell them to stay the fuck out of the way. The duty of a good leader is to protect the people under them. If Sasuke can't do that then he has no business what so ever being Hokage. He doesn't deserve it. It's obvious at this point that Naruto is probably going to initiate a fight with Sasuke after this is over. I can definitely see Naruto getting tired of Sasuke's shit and saying something like "You've lost sight of what is important in life Sasuke, so as your friend if I have to beat some sense back into you before bringing you back to the village then I will."

an dar If he really has thought this through then he should realize that Kakashi and Sakura's deaths would hurt the mission since it would absolutely crush Naruto's resolve. Like I said keeping them out of the picture is fine and makes sense from a strategic stand point since they can't fight a threat on this level, but he shouldn't just leave them to die, Sure in battle casualties can be unavoidable but a leader should at least try to protect the people under him. Going in to battle with the mind set that the lives of your soldiers don't matter at all is unacceptable. If he can't even keep two ninja under his watch safe then how the hell will he be able to protect an entire village when the time comes? Sasuke is a good strategist. I'll give him that, but being a good strategist and being a good leader isn't necessarily the same thing. JJ Malic When Hinata nearly died Naruto lost complete control and went on a wild rampage. That kind of power up would be more of hindrance now then anything assuming its even possible. Naruto doesn't seem to have any hidden power at this point. The only thing that would happen is Naruto would get pissed off. Naruto is already prone to rushing in without thinking. Imagine if he was blinded by rage. He would rush in without a plan, get himself killed and then the world would be fucked. Plus ordering your soldiers just to stand there and die is something a good leader should never do.

The series is highly influenced by Asian mythology (demons and gods) & now that Naruto and Sasuke both have powers similar to Indra and Ashura (who were demi-gods I believe) maybe Kaguya is resembling a powerful ancient demon. This fight, has been dragged out for a long time. How long have they been fighting for? the official fight started in 564 with Naruto, and Killer bee vs ''Tobi'' and the Jinchuriki in the forest. PrankstaLove Well Obito and Madara didn't struggle to fly so I don't see why Naruto would. He didn't struggle to make a lava rasenshuriken. He didn't struggle to seal Madara's shadow. The thing is, Sasuke might be an asshole but he is not evil. He has a different view than Naruto but he too is trying to save the world at the moment. Even in this chapter, he said: ''If we die, the whole world is screwed''. The only difference between Sasuke and Naruto is their way of doing it. Naruto tries to save the world without sacrificing anything or anyone, Sasuke is trying to save to world no matter what the cost. At the end of the manga, they will fight (because Kishi doesn't want to skip that fight after hyping it for so long) and Naruto will convince Sasuke etc.

MY THEORY is " in the past Kaguya fought Hagoromo & Hamura. I believe that there isn't much mention of the Sage of Six Paths brother anywhere because him and his brother each had half of the power, like Naruto and Sasuke, is it possible that the Sages' brother had to somehow sacrifice himself and give all of his power to him. In other words, is there a way either (Naruto or Sasuke) can sacrifice their life by giving the other (Naruto or Sasuke) all of their power, essentially being the new Sage of Six paths, then being able to seal Kaguya. It'd be a good plot. The 2 main characters, Naruto and Sasuke, one must die so the other can absorb their power and seal the final boss, Kaguya. and even further, maybe the Sages father or whatever split that power 25 25 25 25, aka, kaguya had a sister, then the sages brother, kaguya killed or absorbed her sisters power, sage absorbed his brothers power. So kaguya = 50% power, Naruto = 25% Sasuke = 25% either sasuke or naruto dies, gives other power Naruto/Sasuke = 50% power vs Kaguya 50% power, kill kaguya, 100% power? or just die, i mean, what if Naruto/Sasuke, assuming one has to die, kills her, then eats the fruit?

I don't mean to be interpreting things that aren't... but Sakura's headband falling off , I feel like maybe Kishimoto was trying to symbolise she just isn't cut out to be a shinobi. What was the point of it if not that? To show us there is lava underneath? Yeah we know that. ForneverWorld Naruto might really be the only one who can beat her. If I can take a guess, Kaguya probably cut Sasuke's chakra off from that moon mark on his left hand since she has byakugan. If so, that would be karma on Sasuke's part since he's been calling the other members of team seven useless the whole time. If Naruto's really the savior; he might have to end up (sort of) doing it by himself for awhile and might get a bit of help in the end; like how Ichigo towards the end of the fight with Aizen. Do you think since Orochimaru took the body of a white zetsu already that he will still turn into one?

I TRULY Believe hamura will have a BIG part in this cause think about it hamura wasnt even known before and when we dont know things in naruto they will become big later now at naruto's and sauske's current state i think they will need another power boost to stop kaguya and it probably will come from hamura trust me he's going to play a big role in all of this. Also this is just a theory but kaguya has the byakugan which kaguyas decendants dont have is is POSSIBLE, MAYBE hamura had the byakugan and he's their ancestor? because she cant have a dojutsu her own decendants dont have... im going 100% on this thoery!!

You bring up some ingesting points and for the most part credible. But this chapter does not show sasuke as a good leader. There was no mention of strategy or anything of that nature. What it showed was Naruto having the character and ideals to be a proper leader/hokage. If I were to describe Sasuke's actions, jerk aside, a very good solider-mission focused. Accomplishing a task dies not say you're a leader. The fact that naruto made him think about why he wants to save them is the first humanising thing I've seen from him in recent chapters. Sasuke = danzo as hokage /naruto = hasirhama as hokage (no dispute). A question to all. Of the 2 stars, who would be the first to give up on this fight if one of them died?? I can't see naruto doing that regardless of how helpless he'd be.

I don't agree with Sasuke but he did acknowledge that it is hard not trying to save his comrades when there was the flashback to the fight with Haku and I don't think he blames Naruto. I feel he does want to save Sakura and Kakashi but he feels that the fight is the most important thing and that Naruto and him should only focus on that. I don't argee with him but I think that's how he feels.
