I never really liked Choji, he was always just sort of "there" if that makes sense, but Hes such a great character when he needs to be and this arc shows that

Yeah it's pretty much a reason why he and Kiba fell off the radar in Shippuden (Kiba from what I heard isn't as liked as well due to his personality mainly). Shikamaru and Neji continued to get screentime after this (though Shikamaru is the most popular side character period having his own arc and is even Naruto's #2 in Boruto)

You cant be more wrong, He was way more useful that the rest of the team 12 cast during shippuden, he helped against kakuzu (could have easily killed hidan and save asuma) took down asura path with his father choza, helped kakashi almost beat Pain. Destroyed Edo Kakuzu with Tenten,Beat Edo Asuma and Helped against Gedo mazo.

@@zeospark9715 Neji? did we watch the same show like what did he do? Shikamaru only fought Hidan but lost Asuma in the process while Choji could have easily destroyed Hidan. Choji also helped against Kakuzu and defeated his Edo version. Defeated ashura pain path with his father and helped Kakashi almost beat Tendo pain. he defeated Asuma and punched the shit out of Gedo mazo. Choji was way more important and relevant than both of those. and no Minato and Itachi are the fan favorites right now not Shikamaru.
