By all technicality this is the 3rd game. The true 2nd game covered things from after Orochimaru attacked Konoha -> until Sasuke retrieval; But never came out of Japan officially.

@@Sango-7DS There technically IS a Path of the Ninja 4. Its not a turn-based RPG like this one, but its from the same developers, and even uses some of the same music from this game. It's a beat-em-up game called "Naruto Shippuden: Dairansen! Kage Bunshin Emaki." Shippuden Sasuke is the final boss in it.
