It works for Naruto because his chakra dwarfs everyone but hashirama for the vast majority of the series.

Naruto actually is a prodigy, but he has a few handicaps. First, he's not a traditional learner or thinker. Sasuke, Itachi, Minato, Kakashi, Shikamaru, even Sakura these guys can be exposed to a concept either theoretically, written down, or explained and they'll pick it up in an instant and understand how it functions immediately. For strategic geniuses they'll then be able to apply it flawlessly. Naruto learns by doing and works things out in mid action. Second, Naruto had no family to teach him ninjutsu or help him train at home. So he didn't acquire the information in the purely scholastic school setting and was unable to get customized private instruction from his parents at home. That's why while Kakashi taught him tree climbing technique by basically telling him what it was and leaving him to it, he excelled when Ebisu and then Jiraiya spent time with him on the water surface walking and summoning, and he really surged forward in the Wind Release and Sage Mode training. Third, before Jiraiya everyone made the mistake of trying to train Naruto like a normal shinobi who needs to worry about running out of gas. They tried to make someone who was really big pretend to be small. Naruto is an overpowered engine that needs to be cut loose to run like wild.

I believe he said that because their chakra pools were mixing thus stacking Naruto’s reserves even greater. Even though there’s a seal in place the chakra still leaks ( but we all know that already). Further evidenced by Naruto’s features (“whiskers”)being influenced by Kurama’s chakra in Kushina’s womb. At that point in the manga Naruto and Kurama weren’t cooperative so Naruto had no real control over his (nine tails) chakra. A good example of this being Ma & Pa Sage’s inability to passively channel nature for Naruto because nine tails hates frogs. Most of the things that affect Naruto’s chakra control early on have to do with his lackluster teachings and Kurama either passively or intentionally interfering.

yeah was gonna say that. plus it is kind of backed up by feats in the show also. the first fight at the valley of the end. he was never able to make a 1 handed rasengan tell when Kurama was just giving in to him. to watch him suffer in the fight against Sasuke . he let him have more control and Naruto was instantly able to do something he never was able to. showing that Kurama letting him have that control was changing something in Naruto. even after that fight Naruto goes back to having to use clones to make resengans again. the only change being Kurama's willingly letting Naruto do stuff. I believe at some point even in cloaked mode Naruto still had to use cloaked chakra hands to make the rasengan showing that it was not just the increase of chakra that did this to him. it was the willingness of Kurama that was the only real change.

The way I look at Naruto's early chakra is kind of like a hose being connected to a dam with millions of hectares of water behind it. But he only has access to a small hose to use said water. However, in great moments of need, he's able to open the floodgates. And in that same vein of thought, the hose is kind of like his body to where if he uses enough of that water, it will rip him apart thus killing his body because his body isn't strong enough to deal with that amount of water. That's why he has a physical limit to what he can do early in the show.

I always looked at it as you naruto has a whole lot of chakra, not only from the uzumaki lineage or him being half uzumaki, but from minato as well he has a tonne of chakra himself for a normal shinobi anyway,nc hammer 23 even did a break down of minato thought process of how he would seal the ninetails and watching this video actually makes that video make sense, naruto has a whole lot of stamina and thats why it made sense for him to get the side of the ninetails that represented the body not the mind, so where im coming from here is that i always look at it as naruto just had the chakra, as he grows it gets more matured and powerful, but since his chakra is holding down the ninetails hes unable to use it all, then when he bonds with the ninetails and got full use of his chakra, plus what the ninetails is helping him to do, he would have a lot more chakrathan everyone else.

Well narutos chakra is being suppressed, but it is likely that using up the chakra that isn’t suppressed doesnt harm him in the same way normal chakra exaustion does. His chakra is still there just unmoldable. If kakashi used a similar method to naruto he would exhaust his entire pool, even if he used a lesser method. Whatever method kakashi could use wouldn’t be worth the trouble.

Just wanted to add this but the math doesn't quite check out at some points in the video. When you say Naruto is about 300k times Kakashi's chakra and saying he could make 60 million clones, but with the second half of Kurama he would make double that, it's not exactly accurate. That would be using JUST Kurama's chakra and not including his own chakra into the 60 million. For his chakra to double he would have to gain the other half of Kurama AND a second Naruto worth of chakra. Yes it's not that big of a disparity, but his overall chakra doesn't technically double when he gets the second half of Kurama.

Also could talk about chakra control, with bad skill you can waste more chakra than you need to perform a jutsu. With more practice and chakra control you should in theory be able to cast the same justu more efficiently using less chaka or make it more powerful depending

When Edo Hashirama stated that Naruto had nearly as much chakra as him and then said "no, this has nine tails chakra in it" it wasn't referring to half of Kurama as it was shown prior to that statement that both halves were linked through Naruto and Minato fist bumping, so it was full Kurama + Naruto's own chakra. Of course as Naruto got older he got more chakra thus making him the character with most chakra in the whole franchise to date but that's merely due to his protagonist status.

One thing that show a lot that Naruto have a lot of chakra is when he opens de seal and what he do with it against Kurama in his mindscape also when he give kurama chakra to everyone with a peice of his own chakra in it. Another thing is when he fight against other bijuu and jinchuriki. People see it as Kurama being the strongest among the bijuu. But I really don't see it in that way. I see how Naruto is strong and can use his and Kurama chakra to fight better. The real difference there is not Kurama power, but Naruto. We have Bee by his side to compare. Bee can use kurama chakra in same way and also he do not have the huge chakra Naruto have. There is also Minato there too. He have the exact half of Naruto bijuu and he can't make the same use Naruto do and being as powerful as Naruto is. Another exemple is Sasuke against Naruto at the end. He had the Kurama half Naruto had all his life + 8 full bijuu. Naruto had only yin half and just with that plus sage mode and nature energy he won against Sasuke.

Kurama beeing a larger boost would actually make sense as full power adult naruto runs out of chakra way faster than in the war arc and vs sasuke. Since sage mode uses base chakra aswell as nature and can use kurama chakra in the full power transformations narutos base chakra would run out faster after gaining the 2nd half of kurama (max power output goes up but base chakra runs out faster)
