MrKevin486 think it's because, with tailed beast cloak, you're basically overpowering enemies with huge amount chakra from the tailed beast while sage mode is more close range to the breadth of a hair and it gives more tension and suspense so that's why probably even the 9 tailed sage mode doesn't beat the original (not in terms of fighting power but appeal to audience

*****​ I don't fully agree with that, I mean he had to defeat Kurama to get Kyuubi chakra mode then he had to earn Kurama's respect to get Bijuu mode, and Rikkudou Sennin mode wouldn't have been possible if the bijuu didn't respect him enough to cooperate with him. Ultimately Naruto earned all of his power-ups with his power, even if the power-up isn't his power.

***** Nope, Bijuu mode in my opinion is still amazing and I don't understand how people can act like he didn't have to work hard to achieve it. He had to overcome and prove himself to Kurama first so that Kurama could trust him which is in no an easy task. I honestly think that bijuu mode is harder to achieve than sage mode because of this. I also love the bond that Naruto and Kurama have. Naruto's personality was so overwhelming that he was able to understand and befriend a demonic fox who is the embodiment of hatred. The two just seem to understand each other now and they have some truly hilarious and touching moments. I still love sage mode because it let's us see Naruto's own prowess, but I also love bijuu mode and I don't feel like either one sucks ass.

***** Tactics were still used even at the end of the series. Part of the reason why Bijuu mode was so deadly was because of the tactical advantages it gave Naruto, such as his incredible sensory abilities and godlike speed which are extremely powerful when combined. So it's not just a DBZ style power up that gives him bigger flashy attacks, but rather it gives him tactical assets. If you think it's boring and trash then by all means keep doing so, but it still holds true to the tactical origins of Naruto.

In my opinion, this was Naruto's peak. Not only he looked better and more badass, he acted more mature, for the first time you could really get the impression he would become a competent and trustworthy leader. It went downhill from here, Kishimoto made him too stupid with that whole plot of studying animals in that island, he had to be led by the hand to control the kyuubi and I didn't get the impression he was training as hard as before for all that power, the kyuubi mode looked lame as hell, he was useful in the war because he was strong but he still acted like a child instead of a leader, his powers became too god-like for my taste, among other things that I didn't like much. But again, just my opinion.

Don't you just hate it when an anime creates a new penultimate badass form for the protagonist......only for it to be pretty much sidelined and made pointless straight after just one epic fight? Cuz Sage Mode was pretty much instantly forgotten following this fight in favour of the Jinchuuriki powers.....they spent aeons making Sage Mode to be some penultimate form of badassery, even gave him the epic Haori to go with it.....only for Naruto to use it once and never again for his main ability....... Kinda reminds me of the Bleach thing actually, same thing with Ichigo's Bankai, badass in one battle then it's primary ability nerfed to nothing and a new form completely takes the spotlight.

Death Wing Exactly, his only use for it now is as a power boost for the Bijuu Cloak, he no longer utilises it as a sole ability. Its been relegated to just acting as a battery for the Jinchuuriki Cloak. Hell, one of it's unique traits was that he could make invisible attacks with it at close range that couldn't be dodged, yet he's never once used the chakra wave attack since the once in the fight against Pein, how sad is that? I'd imagine even Obito would have had trouble in their taijutsu fight if he'd just utilised it once, but nope, dropped in favour of Bijuu cloak......sad times.

Sage mode is physically stronger than anything. To fight a sage, you either need to be a sage yourself, have a lot of chakra/power, like the tailed beasts and people with strong Dojutsu, or outwit them.
