I believe the double meaning is that, 1. Naruto had literally gotten heavier (since he's older), and 2. He now has more weight on him as a hero. The stronger Naruto became the more people that relied on him. Essentially, Naruto is carrying the feelings, hopes, and dreams of many comrades (and enemies), thus making him "heavier." Tl:dR- Naruto grew up and became dependable.

The scene where Ebisu reminisces the progress of Naruto is my most favorite scene of the entire show. It does not only recap the show, but puts Naruto and his position in the village into perspective, how he progressed, how his goal to be accepted came to be without us even noticing. It is truly amazing, and the only other scene that even comes close to it emotionally is that question of the last episode.

Yup... that's why I think hinata from haikyuu is a better character/protagonist than naruto. Until this point naruto would've be such a well written character ( amoung the basic characters, not even close to TOP TIER characters like, johan liebert, gatsu, gon, onizuka etc) but after this point it became such a trash character in his own series. It would be a great message if naruto dtop caring about being a hokage since his goal is already accomplished. I agree with you to some extent. However, at this point there are still many loose ends like the rest of the Akatsuki members, Tobi and Sasuke. Remember Sasuke wanted to destroy the Hidden Leaf and kill every denizen of the Leaf. The Akatsuki still had all of the Biju barring a few. Concluding the series here would have been really abrupt here because we wouldn't have been able to find out the many things. But I still get where you are coming from since this could have been the perfect ending as well.

I legit teared up a little bit when the entire village was waiting for him and cheering him on after he saved them. Up until this point, the closest thing to recognition that Naruto had gotten for his accomplishments had been the applause he got during the chunin exams. Other than that, we had never been shown any hint that the village had finally started to acknowledge Naruto. But then this episode came and it was revealed that the village had been paying attention to Naruto from the very beginning and, gradually, Naruto gained their respect. One of the most amazing developments in anime ever.

For me, this is essentially the end of Naruto’s Arc. He has accomplished his ultimate goal. Being recognized as a Hero by saving everyone in the village, and being respected by all. Yes he wants to be Hokage, but the reason he wanted to be Hokage in the first place is just that. He wanted to be respected by everyone. From this point on, while he’s still essentially the main character, the show isn’t really about him. It’s about the future of the Shinobi world.

It's all too perfect for an end and I think that maybe the first thought of Kishimoto was to end the story here. What made me tear up is that kakashi was brought back to life and yet he went straight to naruto to help him out. Didn’t even give himself a few minutes to rest up. He woke up and was like wtf. Was told what had happened with naruto and ram to him. This arc was the end to naruto’s character arc. Getting the respect he sought out for so long. He’s finally achieved it. Now his new journey is to bring peace to the ninja world.

I just want to say that "Talk no jutsu" is the worst thing that Naruto fandom has ever created. With this arc Kishimoto wanted to tell a deep story and send a message about how, yes you need to fight to protect what you love (Naruto vs 6 paths) but if you really want to end the conflict and hatred you need to do this through talking and understanding, not killing. But today everything that I hear about this arc is "talk no jutsu, talk no jutsu". I hate this😥

Now hang on a minute, I just think it’s a joke based on the unique aspect behind naruto’s personality to connect with other people, especially those who are conflicted with hatred. I think the whole talk no jutsu is funny cuz it’s lowkey true. As much as naruto battles his opponents, he changes their hearts with his words, like he did here with nagato. But I see what u mean and I truly see the lessons that this show brings to life and how people benefit from it. After all Naruto taught me to never give up on your dreams.

It does feel like the final episode. It's really setting up for the finale arcs of the series, which, from a storytelling standpoint, function as a single, very large story arc. Second , we have the war arc coming . How the hell could they beat obito without kakashi ?? If he didn't bring them back , don't you think the villagers would've $hitted on naruto for the deaths ?? Third , the plot of the gedo art of rinne rebirth ... . And the guy that was supposed to get revived ... . And the fact that he gets finally revived with this .... . Mizukage was disgraceful imo, she was powerful, but her entire thing was about how she was too old to get married, which did not rub off well on me. (Didn't say anything about Kushina because the Normies haven't met her yet 😅)

The only thing i really don't like about this episode is how Naruto just forgets about Hinata and what she did for him. It would have been much better if when Sakura was hugging him, he would remember about Hinata and rush searching for her. And after a short dialog would have hugged her and said thank you. And that would have been a great interaction between them and further develop their feelings for each other. Always seemed to me as a missed opportunity.

Honestly, that really felt like a grand ending. I don't know if I even wanna know what comes after. This feels like the peak. It's kinda how I felt with DBZ after Gohan killed Cell, and how everything after the Cell Games just felt...extra. This just feels like a proper ending.
