His attitude isn’t cold, in fact it’s the opposite, it’s calm and direct. His decision making now is precise because every decision counts. He’s still the young boy who loves and protects but I think that if he were able to, Naruto would have a hard time seeing that part of his son is still alive.

But back when Kawaki killed boruto and than went for code, they didn't look at kawaki that way..but maybe thats just bc naruto was around than. If he was around when omnipotence was casted it would have gone different

Shikamaru is one of the few that can work around omnipotence as show when he fought the infatuation of eidas already set omnipotence. Sarada an sumire probably dont fall under the conditions of an omnipotence set by eida originally or due to eida not being a complete otsutsuki and therfore we get a loop hole allowing some to not be affected and some to have some ability to break away temporarily and have instinc guide the way

After the fight vs Naruto and Sasuke, FUSED Momoshiki replenished his health and chakra with the scientific ninja tool from Katasuke, ate 3 more chakra pills which replenished him even further, and still lost 1v1 to *KID* Boruto while Naruto and Sasuke were pinned down by chakra rods. 3. *BASE* Boruto using a shadow clone was capable of blitzing FUSED Momoshiki, punch him in the stomach, activate his Jougan, counted FUSED Momoshiki's taijutsu, which created an opening for another vanishing rasengan hit to his ribcage all before the real Boruto came out of the sky with his giant vanishing rasengan(which was mixed with BOTH Boruto and Naruto's chakra) to defeat FUSED Momoshiki but the *FACT* still remains that *KID* Boruto did indeed fight *FUSED* Momoshiki *1v1* and held his own and defeated him proving he's already Otsutsuki tier which is NOT *DEBATABLE*

Did you read the manga in TBV? Shikamaru figured it out. And he is doing a good job keeping boruto save while not letting anyone know. The only slipup he could make is if they check the cuffs that Boruto had on and see no damage done to it and that the lock is unlocked with numbers only 3 person know but two of them werent near
