Narwa the Allmother / 百竜ノ淵源ナルハタタヒメ - Battle Theme [ Monster Hunter Rise / モンスターハンターライズ ]

Narwa the Allmother is a Variant of Thunder Serpent Narwa introduced in Monster Hunter Rise. Thunder Serpent Narwa achieves the Allmother state by consuming Wind Serpent Ibushi's lifeforce. Upon achieving this form, Narwa the Allmother gains eight gold orbs in her belly thundersac. Several of her thundersacs and tails elongate and become bright purple, and her eyes can alternate between yellow and red. Her golden skin also becomes dark purple. This allows Narwa to harness the power to control the wind, and also enhances her power over electricity.

Ibushi's uses a lot of woodwind and brass to imitate winds howling. Narwa's uses percussion to imitate rumbling thunder. Narwa the Allmother's uses both to bring the full unrelenting storm.

This fight was god-like. Fighting against a monster you've beaten before, who has also devoured her soulmate for the sake of killing you, is one of the most thrilling things I've ever encountered in Monster Hunter history. With the power she received from her partner, she combines it with her own to go all out against the Hunter who cornered her. What also added the icing on the cake, was the little surprise twist in the middle of the hunt. Capcom has done excellently well delivering us this fight! I hope Sunbreak will deliver us some more hunts this extraordinary!

It would require some changes to the system for that quest specifically, because the hunter takes no damage during the ride. And the time it takes Narwa to actually kill Magnamalo is more than enough time for the other hunters to kill Narwa. And while riding, you can't use items, so no healing. The HP of Magnamalo therefor can't be too low. It's tough, but with a bit trial and error to the balancing, I bet it could've been possible. And once the PC version is out, it's only a matter of time till there's a mod for infinite riding

well the tutorial mission for wyvern riding has infinite wyvern riding (for tutorial purposes) so it's definitely possible (the "health bar" could still just be the riding timer it just wouldn't tick down overtime, just through getting hit, also for HP restoration there could be, like, wirebug swarms around you could run into to restore your "HP" perhaps...)

Train of thought of mine, that the spots which can be seen of Allmother Narwa's thundersac organ on her abdomen aren't eggs that can be seen from the outside, but actually indicating the smaller windsacs in it. The reason I'm saying this is because by the time when we killed Allmother Narwa, all of that spots on the thundersac organ on her abdomen are all dissapear, while a lot of gas is leaking out from said thundersac as we can visually see that upon her death animation. While the moment right before becoming the Allmother, Narwa doesn't have any of those spots on her sac. Remember for Ibushi that when we give enough damage towards the windsacs on his body either at his forearms, tail, or back, the very same gas is leaking out from it, indicating that the windsac is deflating, before Ibushi eventually would inflate the windsac again. And the shape of said windsac of Ibushi are similar to that of grape fruit (I can't word it out better), being bubbly/spherical in shape and all beneath those glowing tendrils which covering it. Since Allmother Narwa wields the power of Ibushi, it is make sense to think that now she's also posses windsac like her mate, not only just thundersac. In conclusion, the spots on Allmother Narwa thundersac organ on her abdomen, isn't indicating the location of the eggs that can be seen from outside, but rather the location of the windsacs instead. Not to forget that when you break the thundersac organ of Allmother Narwa on her abdomen, not only that you might have the chance to get the Thunder Serpent Orb, but apparently also Wind Serpent Orb. The reward that usually you could only get either when breaking Ibushi's head or carving the windsac of his tail. This only reinforces my statement that the thundersac of Allmother Narwa on her abdomen also functions as windsac at the same time. Windsacs that are located inside her largest thundersac which indicated by the numerous spots on her thundersac. Now as for the eggs itself, I believe her pregnancy happen further in with a protective layer of fat or something between her sac and the eggs. The thundersac acting as a pouch like cats have, that are for defense in fighting others. That, or she might already laid her eggs somewhere else in secret and the parents are guarding those eggs when we engage them. With Ibushi stays on the upper layer while Narwa at the bottom layer of Coral Palace near the location to where she laid those eggs of hers previously. We can observe that around the arena where we fight Allmother Narwa, there are several cave tunnels and some of it are big enough for Narwa to fit through.

I agree with your hypothesis but i just wanna add my own hypothesis on this: narwa has always has the genes for the organs that enable her to control the winds, it's just the organs are dormant but can be activated by drinking some special chemicals that are within ibushi's body, the chemicals react with chemicals within narwa's body, activating her wind organs and enhancing her electric attacks; the newly activated wind organs can be seen as bright spots at her belly.

I think the best possible outcome for a stronger version of Wind Serpent Ibushi would be a Variant where it uses more dragon energy than ever before, similar to Crimson Glow Valstrax & Savage Deviljho. Considering Ibushi is using the Dragon element in most of his attacks, as when enraged we can see that multiple parts of his body and eyes are glowing red similar to normal Valstrax & Deviljho when in enraged state, indicating the dragon energy is coursing in that body parts. This variant of Ibushi would be able to utilize its wind based attacks to greater extent thanks to his body produces dragon energy more than usual & a lot more aggressive since in both cases of Savage Deviljho & Crimson Glow Valstrax, the abundant dragon energy produces in their bodies drives them mad. And it's more likely to happen rather than something like Ibushi the Allfather, if the other previous Variant monsters examples are anything to go by.

@@meremsolomon4744 an unusually strong ibushi with highly developed wind and dragon organ sounds like a good idea, as for his attacks, make his paw and tail slam release blasts of dragon energy similar to allmother's lightning, make that his 360 beam be pure dragon similar to valstrax beam, and have him use narwa's beamsplosion but with dragon. Also i've noticed that ibushi doesn't really use his wind that much despite literally being called "wind serpent", so maybe have him use amatsu's various tornados and daora's wind blasts, maybe a few tornados that linger for a couple seconds

Well, there are Japanese versions of the individual themes, and this one seems to mostly be Ibushi’s vocals with some of Narwa’s.

Tbf I did miss the platforming focus of the first fight. I really wish Rise had utilized the wirebug mechanics way more, there weren't enough fights imo that properly reward being good at it. Amatsu was kinda there for it, but even there it was just a couple attacks. First Narwa fight has plenty of it, when it wants you to zip into the cannons asap.

God, I love this theme. Its lyrics may ultimately be nonsensical and meaningless, but the melody evokes a sadness and rage at the loss of her mate, and how Narwa, as the Allmother, will bring about a new world by cleansing the filth of the old. The Master Rank version of Narwa is absolutely frightening in its implications. The HR one was literally thrown into battle with its new powers and no practice in using them. This one has had time to acclimate to and perhaps even practice its new powers as Allmother, or maybe she even drained a HEALTHY Ibushi, if the sexual cannibalism is part of the life cycle and not a desperation move. Narwa also has a few real jerk changes to her attacks. The one that stood for me is in her ultimate - before dropping the big bomb, she creates three electric circles...one of which passes right through the ballistae you would use to bombard her during the attack, punishing you for reflexively going for it. You CAN guard while on the ballista to avoid the damage, but you'll miss most of your chance to damage her, so you're ultimately better off trying to rush her while she's performing her Dragonator attack and knock her out of it - and with plenty of possible counterattacking Silkbinds with invincibility frames at your disposal to get past the giant metal rods of death, it's a good idea. And as an Switch Axe main, I found it sweetly ironic that the one with the best matchup against her is the one made from her mate...

In fact, multiplayer's a key part of Monster Hunter as a franchise, the Hub quests were literally made with multiplayer in mind (that's why you get 4x the supllies in hub quests, because you can play with 3 other people). At this point it would be blasphemous to NOT include multiplayer in a Monster Hunter title
