Very well put, because my senior year in high school I copped the Hip Hop is Dead album and loved it but I listened to just the other day and it was like hearing it for the first time again because you can appreciate the lyrics in a different light now. Jay and 50 are still haunted on how badly they got destroyed by Nas. Unlike Ether which was vicious and aggressive this feels like a smooth and calm one given that 50 is from Queens like Nas. 50 admitted he still got love and respect for Nas and his talent.
