Last night, I was a disaster worrying about my final maternal newborn exam. Before finding your videos, I never felt confident in my approach to studying. I watched the first video that popped up on complications in labor/delivery and it was Meris! I felt like I was having a conversation with you instead of another boring lecture. I never get much out of lectures. Most of the nursing instructors read word for word from their power points. The power points are literally copy and pasted paragraphs from the book. These are educators with BSN, MSN and DNP behind their names! I've had a few really good instructors, but most are disappointing. Nursing students deserve better and if for no other reason, nursing school is not cheap! I also listened to Meris's videos in my car on the way to school this morning. I'm usually very anxious on test day, but I felt ready and calm this morning. More importantly, I retained more information from those 5 videos on OB than I did from a 4 hour lecture. You were concise and to the point, but also teaching like we were just 2 friends having a conversation. I passed with an 88%, which is my best score so far. Thank you, Meris!
