Newman's "clutch" was a stupid one thanks to the format. Thanks Brian France for taking the fun out of the chase with the elimination format. Newman didn't really deserved the "championship" shot. Jeff Gordon is the real 2014 champion. Speaking of Gordon, as a fan of his, he did not really deserve the shot for the championship. His farewell season tour was hard to watch in my eyes because of the struggles from 2015. He would be a 7-time champion if it wasn't for the chase. However, his last win will always be a special one for many reasons. I miss Jeff :( On the bright side, Newman was so close to expose and break the terrible elimination format lol. Thanks Crafton for breaking the terrible elimination format. Aside from that, awesome video!

I loved hearing Leigh Diffey’s commentary from those events in August 2017. Since I’ve followed INDYCAR in 2013: Leigh Diffey grew on me as a play by play announcer. I also enjoyed Townsend Bell and Paul Tracy as commentators. I’ve heard Leigh called GRAND-AM now IMSA with Calvin Fish like the good ole days of SPEED channel now they reunited on NBCSN.

How was the worst finish ever? Out of the 103 races I have watched from 2014 to today this is definitely one that gave me all the emotions. It was definitely one of, if not, the best finishes in the sport. Just because a driver you may not like won doesn’t mean you can call it a bad finish.
