I think there should be a limit to failing pre-race inspection multiple weeks in a row. I think 2 failures should warrant crew chief ejection and 3 an automatic suspension for the car or driver, whichever NASCAR chooses.

@Rk0788 k cars fail inspection almost every race. Plus, nobody cares about stretching the rules on cars. Cheating has been an integral part of nascar for its entire existence. One of Petty's wins was with an engine 24 cubic inches too big and tires on the wrong sides. Mark Martin lost a championship because his carburetor was too tall in a race and he lost 46 points. Chad Knaus was suspended for four races in 2006, including the Daytona 500. In the very first strictly stock (now Cup series) NASCAR race, the winner failed post race inspection. Half the rules in the book are because of Junior Johnson, but he's viewed as an icon of the sport. As Darrell Waltrip said after he was caught cheating during the Daytona 500 in 1976, "If you don't cheat, you look like an idiot. If you do it and you don't get caught, you look like a hero. If you do it and get caught, you look like a dope."
