I can’t tell much difference. They don’t have exotic exhaust, well, I don’t think. That would hurt your power. The only thing new about the sound is that it’s worse, muffled by WOKE Helton and the rest of WOKE nascar. They want to $&1# on the south, reap your WOKE rewards.

They sound good, but from a twitter post, one of the drivers said they were only able to reach 166mph into the corners, since nascar put the restrictor plate on the motors. weather or not the speeds reach higher, the track will surely provide pack racing with the 670 package plus a plate.

It's basically the old Texas high speed/high banking configuration before they butchered that track just slightly more narrow more akin to Charlotte. It's more generic cookie-cutter 1.5 mile track than I thought they were going for. That original iRacing design is not even close to how the track ended up turning out and that's a good thing.

Huh? Texas has never had more than 24* of banking. Not saying I like the changes but I don’t get your points lol In regards to iRacing, their mock-up was based on their version of Atlanta that hasn’t been updated since 2006 so yeah.. it wouldn’t’ look’ similar but the parameters should be accurate

Nah you just don't know how racetracks work. New racing surfaces always suck for a few years until it gets worn in. Texas is just now reaching that point. They start from the bottom than work their way up. Come march they'll be running all 3 of those lines, just like the old track. Like, how it took a few years for the new pavement at texas to develop grooves, they have to do it the same way, accept this pavement here at ams allows them to do it faster. Same. They won't ever be as good as the centre ones but I'm starting to dislike it less the more I get used to it. Hopefully in the next few seasons sponsors and teams will actually use the extra space better since it may lead to more team funding and may make the liveries better than they currently are.

@@jonp5090 What? No. NASCAR slowed them down because they didn't want to injure a driver prior to the next gen being launched. Also... we're going right back to that same 510 package at Superspeedways that Logano happened to flip over with. And also this is a tire test. They aren't going to go full speed on purpose.
