I'm not a Denny Hamlin fan by any means, but it amazes me how NASCAR fans (particularly HMS and even more particularly Elliott fans) cannot get over something that happened years ago. People think Denny is ALWAYS the guilty one when the fact is Denny GOT WRECKED at Indy RC by Briscoe. Denny GOT WRECKED by Bowman at Martinsville. Denny GOT WRECKED by Byron at Texas. Denny got WRECKED by Ross Chastain not once, but twice. And people were actually calling for Denny's suspension and even worse?? Again, not a Hamlin fan, but people are weird, man.

Kyle has definitely grown up in recent years. He’s even acknowledged his past behavior as childish. As someone who used to despise Kyle Busch, I have slowly grown to become a fan of his. His talent has always been undeniable, and he makes is so much more easy to root for him now. He seems like a genuinely nice dude who speaks his mind. Nowadays it’s tough to find people who will speak their mind instead of what’s “socially acceptable.”

I think the common thing with Joey logano is the fact that he’s aggressive. No doubt there, but y’all forget that early in his career, other drivers kinda shoved him around showing him how this sport really was. He got tired of it and now that’s kinda his mentality. The 2015 race at Martinsville has a special place for me, and Logano getting his ass kicked by Kenseth has a lot to do with it. Going into that race, Kenseth had recently had is last shot at a title taken away when Logano spun him at Kansas a few weeks prior. Not only was his little kamikaze charge into Logano sweet revenge for the Kansas spin, but do you see who passes them immediately after? The 24 of Jeff Gordon, who would go on to score his very last Cup win.

People fail to remember or realize that Kyle Busch and Ron Hornaday had more than the Texas incident. The roles were reversed in 2004. Kyle Busch was in a tense battle with Martin Truex Jr for the championship. Every point mattered with a couple races left. The Busch series was at Darlington and Ron Hornaday was a part time driver. Ron Hornaday purposely break checked Kyle. Causing Kyle's cars nose to cave in and Greg Biffle to slam in the back of Kyle. As a result Kyle Busch had a very injured car for the rest of the race. Kyle lost to many points to catch up with Truex. Truex would end up winning the championship over Kyle. Ron Hornaday screwed over Kyle to many times. Kyle admitted that he lost it and retaliated.

The thing that seems weird is that Busch spun out Dale Jr at Richmond which caused fans to dislike Busch, but Dale Jr had been wrecked by other drivers before and it didn’t seem as if fans were upset at the other drivers wrecking him. Also in 2016 at Auto Club, Danica Patrick was fined after gesturing to Kasey Kahne for wrecking her, but that time Busch wrecked Elliott and Chase flipped the bird at Kyle but I’m not sure if Chase was fined for making an offensive gesture
@DATDylan25
@DATDylan25 Жыл бұрын
Danica wasn't fined for a gesture, she was fined for walking onto the race track. Remember, that incident happened when the dark cloud of the Kevin Ward - Tony Stewart incident still hung over racing. Her fine had to do with the rule NASCAR instituted after that incident that prohibited drivers from walking towards or onto the racing surface after exiting their vehicle.

Bubba never faked any hate crime. Or played victim. The situation was stupid, but Bubba had nothing to do with it. He has plenty of reasons to be disliked such as spraying water at a driver who is experiencing a medical emergency or his incident last season with Larson. There is no reason to make more stuff up.

@@kyleraymer5581 someone has a selective memory. He reported the garage rope as a targeted hate crime to him. He let drivers push his car down pit road to support him as a result of a garage rope. He’s seen thousands of garage ropes, he knew what it was. He is an attention whore. He wants to be a race victim.

@@Fulcrum-sf5zb Bubba never reported it, in fact he never even saw it. It was reported by a team member who was back clearing the garage area out that night after Bubba had left the track. He was never given the opportunity to see the photo either until the investigation was over. All he was told by Nascar and the FBI was that a noose had been found hanging in the garage area.

I'm so glad I didn't take that picture with Kyle Busch at the NHRA banquet in 2011. 😂 All jokes aside, I feel some of these younger racers just want PR stunts sometimes. I often wondered why my nephew didn't get into Nascar. He had been racing since a child and was pretty good at it. He raced until adulthood and then stopped. Maybe you can make a video on how difficult it is to even get into racing Nascar one day. 😅

Denny was never exactly Mr. Popularity. I remember people calling him "Diva Hamlin" way back in 2008. But while the Martinsville race certainly hurt his reputation with Hendrick fans, I think the thing that makes him hated by the average fan these days was hiring Bubba.

Martin Truex Jr could be an honorable mention. He turned into a total prick when he was winning at Furniture Row. In 2018 at the Charlotte Roval, after Jimmie Johnson got loose and accidentally spun both of them out on the final corner of the final lap- the way he got mad at Jimmie when it was clearly unintentional really made him look like a bad dude. Since he’s been at JGR, his ego hasn’t been as bad as it was at Furniture Row.
