I just got spun by the #51 truck Smith on lap 100 , last turn trying to get into 4th spot In the playoffs at Martinsville from my 5th spot. Trying to pass Friesen cause he was in 4th when I got clipped by a rival of mine. Did a 360 into the wall and somehow got it back down to get 15th ...now I'm out in 6th in playoffs so im out of it regardless at Phoenix in Nascar Heat 5

joey ran in the top 3 for 75 percent of the race. the run before the last run joey lost spots and his car wasnt as good but because he had a top 3 car is the only reason he was able to pull this off! joey is good and has been good all season the points dont matter till the chase cause ur win and your in and people take more chances once u have a win and blaney and joey both got wrecked out leading or in the fron of the pack over and over fpr wins, that is he was further behind. of it was a point race u dont take those chances. the arguement sbout where he would be in points is stupid. look how many races he was in with a chance to win whether wrecked out like talladaga and several others!

Nascar gives all 36 teams the same opportunity to get hot in the final 10 races. Team penskes team is amazing at it. People complain about this format but when elliott gets a eye turned by Nascar when his crew was over the wall too soon and kicked the wall and Nascar goes yep he reset elliott you are fine. Had Nascar not saved him then Elliott wouldn't be a champ. So everyone complaining about logano and even blaney last year winning the championships look everyone can do it. They are all given the same playoff system. People need to stop their bitching and just enjoy the fact that people can catch lightning in a bottle at the right time.

there’s no legitimacy in a sport that doesn’t reward greatness. lightning in a bottle at the right time should not equate to being crowned the series champion but nascar treats the playoffs like “game 7”. this makes it so someone who’s been average all season can rely on luck and right place right time to advance through the rounds not by success, but by being good enough. champions should be crowned based on success, not luck. nascar is the only main sport where this is consistently a problem.

OK. Everyone just stop saying Lagano shouldn't be in the final 8 because he was eliminated but got in because of Bowman being DQ'd. True Lagano was in 9th place in the standings after the roval had ended but... and I say but... the race results are not official until all the cars requried to pass post race inspection had indeed passed. Bowman failed and received the penalty which placed him behind Lagano. So when race results were official Lagano did indeed make the final 8 legit. Now the complaining about Lagano winning this race when he didn't have the fastest car... really? How many Talladega and Daytona races are won because of attrition? The fastest cars get demolished because someone drives beyond his talent and wrecks the half field taking out those who had been running up front all day! Nascar had abandoned being a true sport to become nothing but a form of entertainment. How many times has the fastest car during the race and should have won lost because of a late caution that wasn't necessary but was thrown just for the sole purpose of having a green/white/checkered finish? Then the stage racing BS. Just a convenient way of bunching up the field for a restart. If stage points are something everyone thinks are needed and fair then fine but they can be awarded without interruption of the race. No caution needed. This playoff system was designed with the purpose of having a one race winner take all final. Imagine this nightmare situation.... a driver wins all the races in the playoffs except the last one... no matter how he loses the last race how is this a measure of the championship? This sad part is... we all love NASCAR racing... but we're forced to watch with what NASCAR has offer.

I’m in that camp. Logano deserves the win, my feelings on him aside, but nascar stays sticking by the worst championship format in sports. This system will reach a point where nascar has to do major changes to it, whether that means more convoluted changes to what we have or hopefully a return to a format of a competent chase format, if not full season points.

Blaney might have actually pushed him one time downt he back, but outside of that, it was all air. It's perfectly legal and it's what they do at drafting tracks on a regular basis, so what's there to talk about? What's funny is that Joey didn't gain when they did that. I think the point was too help Joey save more fuel. I'd love too see the inputs to see if Logano was going 3/4 throttle cuz he would gain in the corners, then lose on the straights. Then he finally decided it was time to go and passed him without any help whatsover.
