NASCAR Heat 4 - How to put a Custom Setup in. (And a Online Race)

MaximumPayne your difficulty has to be on hard or higher to be able to do the setups

Thanks to this video, this noobile racer is learning. I bought the game today, think it's so much fun, and I really want to see what I can do with this game. I mean, I come from a Nascar game background of Nascar 2011 and that's it. If I remember correctly I think they didn't have setup options for that game. So it's all just overwhelming. Thanks to you tho, I think I have a relatively good handle on the setup menu.

So you pick the track you want in practice mode, save the setup. Find that same track in online with customs allowed and that’s how u get to use ur custom model?

I've been trying some custom setups but I've been running into issues where my RF heats up intensely and wears down extremely fast (ex: I was at Daytona and the RF was as 20% with around half a tank of fuel left). Any idea how I can combat this. Thanks

Yes sir, if your looking for a longer run setup balance is key, alot of the time you have to go with a harder RF spring and less front weight. Also less camber, but it's all according to those tire temps

It’s this just not on Xbox? Or is it just not in career? Cuz if it is, I’ve no idea how to enable physics somewhere. That’s as far as I’ve got to on google. I’m guessing whilst my wheel works great for my Xbox (G920, a ‘rig’ Is for when I win the lottery), the console limitations mean it either isn’t in the game or just isn’t in the career? Any help much appreciated. I love it, but I’m a good 1.5s slow around a speedway at the difficulty level that stops me winning more races than I should be doing as a rookie. Sorry for long-winded post.

Main thing when running is always run with assist off. Even at big tacks assist will kill your time because it over compensates for speed, turning etc. Also in career mode I think you have to run a higher difficulty before you can use custom setups. Im not 100% because I haven't ran career mode yet but thats what most people have told me.

I'm not sure the button but on ps4 you hit square at the in quick race lobby menu like you would adjust the slider. Then on the right hand side race and qualifying should come up.

How do I custom set up during Career mode for Owned Team? I can’t set my car up for my own team an I’m constantly finishing I’m the 20’s it’s driving me nuts. Out of 11 races I think I have 1 or 2 Top 10’s no finishes. The highest I’ve finished is 2nd

Yes always keep the setups. I have seen where its not able to if you're under 95% difficulty,

When i go to online to race my custom car..it shows my car number. And others have custom car .....should my j Name have custom car...instead of number?

It's just the way it is online, everyone can see their own number. But no one elses. Just shows a custom tag.

Could be because you have assist on. I think you have to run no assist and at least 95% difficulty.

You do it all in quick race. If you have your difficulty set under 95% it will not give you the option.

So if I do a custom setup on my made up car and then go online to that track I made the set up for and pick a different paint schemes like say bubba Wallace would I still be running my custom set up ?
