Many people don’t realize that running the high line is actually the faster line at certain tracks, simulating how it is in real life. But the game gives you the arrows on the universal “preferred” line that a majority of drivers use. In other words running the high line at certain tracks is faster than the “preferred” line that the game gives you, but it will be harder to control the car just as it would be in real life. Hope this helped anyone confused but, the driving line isn’t always the best line.. only the “preferred” one

Not true entirely while yes the outside line is faster at some tracks. Thats only in race trim. In qualy you always wanna run the bottom because its the quickest way around.

Correct, the ideal line does not factor in tire wear. As the car becomes looser, a higher line may be better. I was laughing in the previous episode at Phoenix since the ideal line has you above the yellow line at all times and in reality most drivers go way below it in turn 4.

The reason your not running suggested pole times is because they set there pole times at all car qualifying and you are doing single car qualifying. You can’t do full field qualifying.

It's good when somebody's pushing you that way they boost you and if you already have a draft that's extra speed,so i don't recommend you let them pass you,also there's something called side drafting,so if there is nobody infront of you and there's somebody behind you,slow down but not too much and side draft them to catch up to the pack,Yes,side drafting is exactly what it sounds like,its basically just dafting somebody from the side

Drafting really does help a TON with speed. That’s how you get those faster times in practice. Catch up (or slow down) to a competitor and put your nose on their tail and ride it out.

Look out for the "Draft Partner" indication. you use each other to move up. sling shot each other. helps to catch up to the pack if you fall behind.

Yea Having assists on definitely hinders your top speed as it applys brakes and or lifts in spots, You had the right line in qualifying and practice just the assists held you back. Also please keep this going. Loving the NASCAR From you.

Trevor i love your videos it super funny your noobness when it comes to nascar. Dont take this wrong but its not formula 1. Just some tips to ignore if u want. Pick a line of the race.. Meaning either race high or mid or low. You going up and down the line will slow u down. Also air from other cars will cause u to go loose. Also if u draft off a car a bit longer it will give u momentum to help pass. Ur just pausing a second and zooming. Stay about 5 to 10 seconds to help pass. Just sone tips keep it up and stay awesome

You also consider turning cautions on. As far as where drivers are driving on the track....as your car gets loose moving up the track will help maintain pace. It also allows you to keep RPMs up to get a good run off the turn. You'll lose time on entry but again it back on exit or the turn

Cautions can be turned on in the settings. Also turning some of the assist off (such as auto breaking) will speed you up. Harder to make the corners but faster. Great series though I’m enjoying it

That is how it was in the Heat 4 too. If you were on a more difficult setting every car qualify almost a second if not 2 or 3 faster than you and then in the race you’d blow everybody’s door off. Made no sense, but it is what it is.

That car behind you was pushing you, which is why you passed all those cars so easily. You'll really need that if you're running up front on superspeedways. Entering the corner below the preferred line and at full speed will wear your tires and start sending you up the track after your tires are worn.

I say increase length of race 1 notch and turn the tire wear and fuel up. Also turn on all flags so you have cautions. All that would make it real fun. Oh and you want to run the high line at many tracks, the fastest line isn't always the shortest. Running the high line gives you more speed out of the turns and down the straightaways. Lastly most the assist slow you down, make sure stability assist is off, that'll speed you up. Just some different things to try. Keep it up👍.

If you are struggling to make the goal time in practice, use the other cars, draft with them and your time will improve dramatically. They all practise together in real life to get used to the draft and what not at the track they are at

Trevor, In practice, you might wanna try and find a drafting partner. The lap time they are giving as a goal is definitely in the draft. Try turning off your assists as well. Cheers and best of luck!
