you got a penalty when you pitted, you have to go 45mph entering pitlane or you get penalized and have to wait in the pits longer. also, if you press "b" on your steering wheel it will bring up different windows you can look at (eg. tire temp, tire wear, vehicle damage ect) that will give you a better understanding of when to pit. LIKE SO HE CAN SEE THIS PLEASE

You can bring out a car menu were it shows you how much fuel you have and your tire wear, the button to do that is B on a Xbox 1 controller, don't know for wheel. Also you can change your camera view.

First of all, you entered the pit WAAAYYY too fast Second, if you press "B" during the race, it will show the car status (estimated fuel, tire percentage, oil temperature, etc.) Third, you pitted so early 🤣 Good luck!

Looks like you got "Tire wear effect" on the AI settings, That might be the reason why they are not pitting or losing control of there cars. Liking the Heat 5 series and looking forward to seeing you do Bristol Motor Speedway.

Pit Stops have always been the one thing I enjoy in race games. Even though it makes things difficult, but in Gran Turismo I have the strategy of pitting early when I have a good lead and making it up when the AI pits.

Also having 4x tire wear is where you want a tight set up. So as the tire wears and grip gets lower the car will naturally loosen up but not get as squirly. Also a tighter set up will preserve the right rear which also help with tire longevity

You were just on it go to setting then driving where you see Ai settings change tire wear from normal to more wear and then fuel to more fuel consumption that way you have to pit and so does the AI

When you have about 2 laps of fuel left a low fuel light will come on. You typically want to pit when you can’t make a full lap with the fuel you have left. You entered pit road to fast so you got a penalty and then the caution came out which actually helped you because it put you back on the lead lap. Typically at tracks there’s a break in the solid white line before pit road that’s where you want to enter and start braking. Pit road speeds are usually between 45-55 hope this helps.

Try to go out-in-out in a corner, before you do the turn stay on the outside of the track then turn to the inside of the turn and then when the turn is done go back on the outside of the track slowly, try tightening the car a little bit and see if you can control it a bit more. Btw, so you don’t have to let up so much, go a little wider before going into the corner. The track obviously depends on how wide but it helps. I usually go a little wider if the corner is tighter and then I don’t have to let up so much

Trev, if the line only darkens a little you don’t need to let off the gas. Only if the line turns darker orange or red do you really have to slow down. Tracks such as Texas and Atlanta and a few others you can keep it wide open and never have to let out of the gas, just keep the car a little bit looser

Turn player tire wear on less and more grip, because in this game your tires wear faster than the ai. And there is a button that pulls up your tire wear info and gas left in the tank, so it makes it easier to know when to pit.

I don't know if you know this but you can hit B on xbox to show your gas and tire ware and damage to your car.And you can hit A to show how many seconds you are ahead and how many seconds you are behind.It might be difficult with the racing wheel.

Usually when it's time to pit you will get a small notification at the bottom of the screen. They usually tell you to pit when you have around 2 laps of fuel remaining and you're tire wear is 20% or lower.

Make sure you slow down before entering pit road. They have you a speeding penalty. Different tracks have different pit speeds. The shorter tracks tend to be 35mph, the medium tracks tend to be 45, and the superspeedways tend to be 55. Also, as your tires wear, you don't have to push the car as hard because you could lose control. Everybody will be going a bit slower as tires wear so don't feel pressure to go as fast as you were originally going through the corners. The ai cars wait as long as possible before they pit. Like to the point where if they didn't pit they would run out of gas in the next lap. tire and fuel wear does affect the other cars

You gotta start cycling through the menus you can bring up with the A and B buttons. Shows intervals for positions and then shows tire wear and how many laps of fuel you have left

Hey Trev, if you want AI to have to pit you have to make fuel consumption 4x as well. So have 4x tire wear and fuel consumption and you will be set. Also not sure what it is on your wheel but on PS4 if you hit circle it will bring up menu with tire wear and how many laps of fuel you have left. That way you know when you should pit!

There's are different menus when you're racing. Instead of keeping on which current lap you're on change it to see your cars handling and fuel and that will let you know when to pit and also when you wanna pit, commit to it enter early and make sure your speed is under 50 mph or you get a penalty for speeding

Pit road has a speed limit. Your pit stop should not be 30 seconds😂. Also the high line giving extra momentum doesn’t mean the high line on the straightaway. The high line at some tracks in the corners is faster. Being high in the corner will make you lose time in the middle of the corner, but then, on corner exit you will be faster. It only works on some tracks like homestead, Las Vegas, and Kansas.

I’m not completely sure if you noticed, but you were to fast into pit road which gave you a penalty that added another 15 seconds to your pit time. Without that penalty the stop would have been 15 seconds instead of 30.
