They need a difficulty between hard and legend. Like very hard or something. I started in trucks in a 3 star ride and was finishing 30-32 every single race on legend but on Hard I finish 13-18 on a regular basis. I think adding a difficulty between hard and legend would be the sweet spot for me

They could really beef up career mode more, make it more like basketball games such as 2K or even the show in baseball. Give it that same sports franchise depth I think that would be so cool, to hire and fire people from the crew to go out and get sponsors and see which company you're going to race for and which brand of car you're going to ride but more realistic. I think they could do it and it would be so dope for the casual race fans like myself who enjoy franchise modes in sports games.

There is a hidden paint scheme in NASCAR heat 5 gold addition in Season mode if you choose Tony Stewart as your driver and after you choose the season if you cycle through his paint schemes going left there will be a blue ford Scheme with NASCAR Heat on the hood

Well, the damage is still very poor. Similar to 4. I did see an improvement on the AI side. The controller seems to be better. I didn't have to touch the settings. All the rest is the same. They put more settings with yellow flag, something that made me abandon Heat 4. Need to play it more, but I feel tedious on that release. Get rid of Unity.

I am absolutely fine with the modes and presentation. The reason I kinda want to upgrade is just watching gameplay, I swear I can see a difference in the AI realism. And the new chase cam and the new customization abilities. Some people don't like the same crew and interface year after year. To me it makes it feel like home. I will probably wait for a Steam sale but I want.😁👍

Here’s what I still don’t understand. Why on gods earth do they not let you choose whatever paint scheme you want when you run your own team? I understand they’ll never have a paint booth because they want to drain us on DLC buys. But why not let you choose from several sponsors and whichever paint scheme you like when owning your own car? Anyone else having issues with the rim paint booth for custom cars? I selected a rim color and when I preview the car everything is the color I want. However when racing the rim color defaults to yellow no matter what BUT when I pit within that same race, at least on pit road, my rims are the color I selected in the paint booth. I've noticed a lot if not all custom cars have default yellow rims. Also there were major issues with online multi-player last night. I understand this is a new release but it's basically a copy and paste from Heat 4. With no real pressure, 704 should have had these bugs worked out. Just like the bonus content with the Gold edition that wasn't resolved until this morning. Other than the new extended outside camera view and what seems to be an enhanced draft at superspeedways, as a NASCAR enthusiast and a fan of racing games in general I am very disappointed with this game...

hard to say, i dont think i can find how many copies have been sold for each respective platform. both should be fairly even since each have other racing games that attract racing fans. id say just get it for whichever platform you like more, i dont think either has an advantage. also if you have a racing wheel for one of them, then id default to that platform, makes the game a lot better

I'm still playing on Nascar Heat Evolution and I'm debating whether to upgrade to a newer one or not. I'm curious what the next game will be like with a new engine. I've just been disappointed in the visuals of the cars and would love to them look as good as games like gra v and need for speed.

Sounds like Her 5 is what they could have given heat 4 in a update. I have played Heat 4 about a week now and i love it, last time i played a nascar game, was on the ps1 or ps2. But i feel heat 4 kind of hollow, and could have been a bit more, but in the long run, it is nascar, but a bit more freedom would have been awesome. It sounds like Heat 5 is the same way.

704 games is ripping every NASCAR game fan off. This is a $20 DLC update at best. And for just a reskin I don't know how it has so many glitches. Some of the paint schemes are from last year and aren't even current. The trophies still say heat 4. like couldn't they have just put custom seasoni and the paint scheme numbers looking different on custom cars, and a 2020 driver update in heat 4? I mean that's really all you're getting different. oh and let's not forget they got rid of the driver videos from career mode and even though they suck it was still a nice touch. And the tweets are repetitive and they are even more generic. I highly suspect the price of this game will go down in 30 days. $30 and $40 depending on the version. A lot of people are going to be mad.

the entire point was to make a reskin with added features. they made this game so they could have extra income to put forth to the next one, remember monster gets part of the income from heat 4. this game was to make sure they had a live product out while they worked away at the new engine and game for 18 months. it was intentionally made to be like this, and it isnt an ea move. ea makes unfinished games year after year, this was a game made to keep the afloat while they make the next one

Definitely a mixed bag, performance suffers at times on PS4 pro, the car bouncing can feel dead floaty on some tracks, a lot of little details are wrong like spelling and fuel gauges not working etc but I have to say this is probably the best ai I have come across in a NASCAR game, so much fun purely because of that 😎

if you want live services/updates and have the extra cash, get heat 5. if you want the core racing experience in a finished game for cheaper, get heat 4. heat 5 is a virtual reskin of heat 4 with some quality of life features and small new features. and i dont want you to think the devs dont care since its a reskin, they did this so they could build the next game on a new engine with 18 months to develop it. so, if you want some extras compared to the last game and can front the extra money, get heat 5, if youre on a budget and just want to race, get heat 4. both are solid games and fun.

if you want a game with some more features and live services and have the extra coin, get heat 5. if you want a core racing experience for cheaper, get heat 4. both are good games that id recommend, but since its your first time in the series id say go with heat 4 since its almost the same experience for cheaper and a much more finished game, so if you dont like it you havent cost yourself too much. that being said if you do like it, i wouldnt upgrade to heat 5 (unless you got it instead of 4) until the next game comes out, there isnt much point in getting a mild upgrade.

Yeah there is but you know what sucks. you can raise in the cup series at any track but eldora even tracks they don't go to. So I just assumed that I could add those tracks to a custom fantasy cup season. But nope you are limited only to the tracks they go to. Which I don't get. I was looking forward to having Canadian tire, Iowa, road America, mid Ohio and gateway in my cup season but nope. and I can't believe they don't have the Indianapolis road course when that was announced last year. Did hear that they are going to add it and the Daytona road course and DLC but still not going to pay $50 for this DLC of heat 4.

The game sucks. It literally has so many bugs that it makes it very unenjoyable to play. My career mode has crashed no less than 10 times in about 6 hours of gameplay. I was a dumbass and shelled out $70 for the Gold Edition and all of the perks that come with it aren't even available until an update patch comes out. The trophies in the game still read NASCAR heat 4 and some of the tracks aren't even finished with wall adverts problems.

Yup have to agree. Just purchased Nascar Heat 4 on the Steam sale and it's great fun, but also just re-installed NR2003 after many years and haven't been back to NH4 since. Papyrus sure got that game right. I've played just about all the great race sims and most of them are superb, but both GPLegends and Nascar Racing had something really uniquely special in their ability to involve the racer.

Nothing seems to have improved. This developer is a joke the obviously have no experience with sport racing games like EA or 2K sports or racing games from Codemasters. 704 games have now developed 5 nascar heat games and really no major improvements, heat 4 they put the look around camera that was missing from previous games which was the only improvement and to be honest it was a waste of time putting it in the game because there’s no side damage to view on your car. The crash and damage physics are horrible and unrealistic. You barely have any damage other than a crumpled hood but look at past nascar games like nascar thunder 03 and 04 you had parts that look damaged and hang onto the car for a little bit and eventually fly off causing debris on the track throwing out a caution flag.You had engines blow up and cars caught fire. Heard they added DNFs on heat 5 but only in career mode and I just can’t see how you could DNF with the minimal damage these cars sustain in this game.. This game needs to have announcers and realistic crowd noise and realistic engine sounds and tire squeal. They should have a grand marshal and announcers naming off the starting grid for the race by their row and position on the track. They should add the National anthem and flyover/fireworks like they had in nascar thunder.. All they do is give you a story or update on where a certain driver is starting and why. Like Kyle Busch failed inspection and is starting in the back,or Denny Hamlin wrecked in qualifying and is starting in the rear in a backup car. That information is well and good but they need to add more. I just feel that this game is cheaply made and there’s really no experience or time in making it. It’s as if the developing team has never actually seen on been to a nascar event.i mean I have flipped my car five times ran it head on into other cars and there’s minimal damage and I have damage on full realistic. I just feel this game is just a cheap arcade nascar game for kids who are just gamers and not anyone who actually watches the sport.. it’s like NASCAR unleashed from the 90s I know it’s not easy making a game similar to Iracing but they need something more simulation than this. NASCAR heat is about as arcade as rbi baseball and it should be a sim like MLB the show.

it takes tons of conditioning and preparation for a race, just like any other racing sport or sport in general. its more about your cunning and endurance rather than your body like fighting sports or things like football. its a motorsport, key word sport.

Prosperatk even people that don’t like NASCAR like NASCAR games, there’s just something so much fun about actually driving the car and passing people than watching them, also you’ve probably never watched a short track or Superspeedway race, some races can be extremely boring because NASCAR knows how to fuck something up good
