100% agree with you. To me this was worse than spingate with where on the schedule it is and how much more of the championship it decides. It is absolutely ridiculous and impossible to take serious.

I don’t know how me and others even put up with this shit anymore. I had to watch today as my driver Kyle Larson got eliminated despite being perhaps one of the best drivers all fucking season while Joey Logano gets to go run for a title after being nowhere all season because of one Nashville fluke, and Alex Bowman, failing inspection. And then I have to sit there and watch blatant race manipulation. What’s the point anymore? What does the championship even mean? It’s really bad when somebody who’s been in KZbin retirement has to come out and say something about this. and then that tweet you brought up is just the cherry on top. I love watching this because I like the racing. But then I see shit like this and I wonder why I even bother. I haven’t wanted to rip my hair out more after a race. Bell and Byron should’ve both been removed and all teams involved and drivers should’ve been penalized as much as they possibly could. You know something? That Martinsville race was somebody’s first. Think about that for a minute. Imagine what they think after that display. Anyway, I’m done. Good to see you though.

I’ve been calling for the firing of Elton Sawyer since he said, out loud, that the Richmond restart earlier this year would have been called different if it were different part of the race. The France family are leeches, bleeding the teams dry. They don’t build tracks. They buy them. They are to blame for all of this. They’ve kept this clown show going and they add absolutely nothing to the sport. They won’t make the right choice. I’m done too.

It really does suck that a driver can lead every lap win 35 races but not be the champion bc the 2nd in points can wreck him and take the title that's not how it should be

While the events from last night was the pinnacle of sheer ineptitude from NASCAR, the one thing I've seen that's amazing is that it has been the awakening that has long been needed for so many people to realize just how wrong this concept of the Playoffs really are. It's like the Sleeping Giant has been awoken and if NASCAR doesn't make the decision to do away with this format, it's going to lead to a revolt the likes of which the racing world has never seen.

As a former Jeff Gordon fan and a current Chase Elliott fan like you, I agree with you. I believe what NASCAR should have done was eliminate both Christopher Bell and William Byron from the championship. For the fourth spot in the championship 4, allow the next guy in the points to be in the championship run and that would be Kyle Larson. Which would make sense for Larson, because he won the most races this year. So the championship 4 would have Joey Logano, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Blaney, and Kyle Larson.

i have the same exact frustration bro i started watching nascar in 2011. i was 5 yrs old at the time. and even though the chase was already a thing, the playoffs were still mostly legit, and overall still watchable. and back then, there was actual racing. no stages, no gimmicks, just pure racing. and i loved it. every sunday i would wake up looking forward to watching nascar all afternoon, and it almost never disappointed me, even when kyle busch (my driver) didn’t win. fast forward to today. the sport has become unrecognizable. constant BS gimmicks every week nowadays. a playoff format that has been utterly butchered by nascar and the france family. stages that disrupt the flow of the race. teams manipulating and rigging the races. the wrong guys get DQ’d while others who do deserve to get DQ’d get a mere fine by nascar and nothing else. yet the france family said that this is supposedly what the fans wanted. nowadays, whenever nascar is on, i typically only watch if there is nothing else on, or if a football game is on commercial break. the sport gives me no excitement and whenever i wake up on sundays, nascar doesn’t give me much to look forward to anymore. nascar has become completely unrecognizable to me, and im sure that it’s the same way for you, and many others. I don’t even know what i’m watching anymore. pretty much every race makes me pissed off because nascar is constantly pushing these BS gimmicks and unnecessary GWC’s just to create drama. but that just isn’t racing. and it’s not what i want to watch. I want to watch racing. but unfortunately there’s hardly any of that in nascar anymore… just gimmicks, manipulation & rigging, and a broken playoff format… just nothing to look forward to when you have such a broken sport. and after 13 years of being a diehard nascar fan, i’d never thought I’d be saying this… but nascar is truly dogshit. and i 100% mean it. the france family has successfully battered the sport i once loved and cherished. and once kyle busch retires, i’m likely gonna be done with nascar. unless there’s a change that scraps this horrible playoff format and scraps all these gimmicks, i’m done when KB is done. it’s painful for me to do this, but nascar has left me no other choice. I don’t see anything changing for the better in this sport. and i’m just tired of the constant BS that i’m being fed by the france family and nascar.

the Darlington thing was unfortunately only this year, next year it's concluding at Daytona again but yeah... I consider not watching playoffs effective, because I don't even have anything to be mad about

This should be where they take the playoffs out of racing. Nascar has no business having stuff like this in racing.
