NASCAR needs to do something about this next gen car on short tracks. Doesn't matter if it's Richmond, North Wilkesboro, Martinsville, or Bristol. Every short track race is the same now. Nobody can pass because there is no tire wear or speed variance between the cars. Short tracks used to be the best races of the season, now they are the worst. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Seen Earnhardt win is 1st race, seen the best win there, btw Darrel waltrip is the best driver to ever race at Bristol. I can't stand him but dam he was good here. Anyways last night was a disgrace of a race, no passing, no excitement, bad enough they stage race and don't even wear down there tires so they actually have to drive. Then at the Xfinity race the night before, it was the same way, then they kept the caution out for 3 extra laps so dale jr could change helmets, I was listening on the radio to the officials and actually heard them say, hold 1 more lap for the 88 car. I tell you something else, in all the years, I have never seen a car that much faster like the #5 car was, he was playing with the field. They never had a chance to beating him. Can anyone explain to me what makes nascar a hard sport out of general interest, coming from watching f1 which we can all agree is probably the harder sport. A circular circuit would be much easier than Singapore for example. How do the cars also compare to f1 cars performance wise? Seems like a cool motorsport.
@ericjefferson9684Ай бұрын
F1 cars are engineered to handle in tight turns / high G,s. NASCAR cars are not. They’re heavy, and bulky and don’t handle great. They also race other drivers every lap. Who cares if they’re ovals or not. Ovals lead to better racing which is what fans want to see. I’ve did laps at both Charlotte, and VIR. Ovals aren’t “easy”. “Going in circles” has always been an ignorant statement. Ask SVG how easy it is. Road / street courses are so spread out that fans in attendance are just there to say they went. In short, NASCAR is more about driver vs. driver. F1 is more about the car
@thomaskrebs8110Ай бұрын
You can take any F1 pilot and he will very likely never win a short track race like Bristol. The US drivers learn to race ovals at a very young age. You need a lot of experience to be good at it. With a little bit of luck SvG will maybe win on a track like Daytona or Talladega in the future but I doubt it that he will win in Bristol, Martinsville or Dover.
