As an Australian I feel I have to mention an Australian pit incident. In 2019 at the Adelaide 500 drivers Chaz Mostert and Rick Kelly collided in pit lane, blocking the pit fast lane. I have never seen a car sideways in pit lane in Supercars history. Later that same year driver Nick Percat was pitting for Fuel at the Townsville 400 and the fuel hose popped off the fitting. The fuel ignited as Nick drove away leaving a massive fire in the Brad Jones Racing pit bay. Nicks was also alight but both fires were extinguished safely and everyone was uninjured.

some people think that making the officials wear helmets is a little accessive. Personally, I am thankful for those regulations and safety precautions NASCAR takes to make sure everyone is safe. Those helmets have saved so many people from serious head injuries.
