6:04, I was at that race where Montoya crashed into the dryer truck. I was in 7th grade at the time and remember like it was yesterday. All you saw was a huge ball of flames go up in the air. Race was halted for about 2 hours, luckily everyone was okay.

bruhmentium it’s too blow off any debris off of the track that could potentially pop the tires or make drivers lose control, as well as blow off and fluids that might’ve been leaking from a car. The tires are slick, so going over a small amount of liquid at 200+ MPH could be dangerous. And the race was delayed because it rained earlier that day too.

The track was at caution so normally he should have been driving slow, but he was trying to catch up to the field and something broke. Dryer was in just the wrong place at the wrong time
