Gordon on the D tier is ridiculous. He makes a mistake every now and then, but is almost always right about race strategy and diagnosing handling/mechanical problems with cars. The fact that he isn't a loudmouth self-promoter hurts him on this list. He never meshed with DW because Darrell was way more interested in being a comedian/funny guy. Jeff focuses on giving the viewers true facts about what was really going on and how that will affect the rest of the race. It seems Eric values style much more than substance.

Fun video. I personally like the NBC broadcast much better than FOX but agree with your ranking and evaluating of Mike Joy. DW was just not my cup of tea. I understand for some people he was great but he couldn’t get out of the booth fast enough for my sake. My biggest pushback is you have Rick Allen and Vince Welch on the same tier. Rick is a considerably better play by play announcer than Vince Welch. I would have Rick Allen in a B or C tier. Probably B but would understand putting him in the C tier because he can be a little sloppy at times but he has a great voice and does a very good job during pre race setting up the story lines which is an aspect of broadcasting that can sometimes get overlooked. Overall cool episode. I really like what you’re doing. Keep it up!
