That Charlotte race Blaney won is an underrated gem. October, Friday the 13th, 2006. Just a few highlights: - Jimmie Johnson made a rare Busch race appearance, only to junk his car 21 laps into the race - (Still better than Kasey Kahne's day...he was out after just three laps!) - At one point NASCAR threw the green flag, only to bring the yellow back out almost immediately because there were still safety trucks on the backstraight. - A caution during green flag pit stops saw nearly the entire field trapped a lap down - Casey Mears at one point managed to somehow pit under a late caution while still retaining the lead, despite drivers like Carl Edwards not stopping. - (Keep in mind Edwards had dominated the race by this point) - Caution was extended by several laps while everyone argued - NASCAR had to actually red flag the race to figure out how Mears had managed to accomplish pitting without losing the lead - Turns out in all the confusion, Mears just ignored the fact that the light at pit exit was red - Race returned to yellow, with Mears sent to the back and Edwards given the lead - Kenseth, meanwhile, was put in a pickle. He had recieved the Lucky Dog. Trouble was that the scoring error took so long to figure out that the race would restart with less than 10 to go... so a single file restart that Kenseth had to sit at the tail of. - Jason Leffler crashed with just five laps left, putting Mears and Kenseth back into contention - Edwards and Mears raced so hard on the restart that they both crashed with just two laps left. - Edwards would DNF in 27th place, despite leading 123 laps - Race restarted and finished with just five drivers on the lead lap - Those five cars (in order) were Dave Blaney, Michael Waltrip (who raced in q backup car), Stacey Compton, Kenseth, and Danny O'Quinn Jr. - Danny O'Quinn Jr. would score his only top five finish in the Busch series - This would be Dave Blaney's only win in _any_ of NASCAR's top three divisions And that's not even everything!

Wow, early 2010 Nationwide Series had a few good ones. Never saw that 2005 Kansas finish with Biffle and Kahne, poor Biffle came up short in all 3 of those highlights.

Unreal how not even a year after Biffle nearly won 2 races for that 27 Baker Curb team, they shut down. Sad the Biff couldn’t get one last win for them 😢

I'd never seen that trucks Homestead finish, and I'd never heard of Dave Rezendes before. Awesome find.

If you do part 2, please include 2016 trucks at Michigan. It was my first time at a nascar race

2006 Toyota Tundra 200!!! Marcos Ambrose damn near won that race too, and if he had you'd hear ALL about it.

I don't think drivers should be allowed to deliberately finish on the apron. If they're going to ignore the limits of the track like that then there might as well not be a white line there at all.

Bud....the white line is there to show where the apron starts.
