I give Custer a TON of credit. He could have EASILY spun Bell into the inside wall hard and probably have the lead at the time of caution, but he was classy enough to not do it and try to race for the win.

Yeah I agree. Unfortunately NASCAR has some of those fans, who blamed her and rooted against her for, well, the obvious. (Not all fans are like this, but the ones that exist are a problem) But in reality, Deegan’s fracaso was not a referendum on Deegan as a driver. It was a referendum on Ford Performance’s team and driver development program. And ever since Penske left the Xfinity series, Ford’s youth driver program has been disintegrating. Ford needs to get their act together, because their prospects right now don’t look good, and it will hurt them in the long run if they don’t make changes

Logano was running 11th before the motor blew. Team may not be perfect but Deegan definitely was a good chunk of the problem.

Does anyone else get tired of these late race cautions affecting the outcome? Sheldon Creed deserved to win that race. Perhaps NASCAR should look into single file restarts. That way the leader would still have somewhat of an advantage that he earned racing on the track.

If tire issues are so common on these short tracks because of teams dropping the PSI well past GoodYears suggestions, why not start mandating a minimal tire pressure? A simple TMPS sensor and transponder would allow for babysitting these rules so that teams can't have them inspected, than deflate them.

Why would NASCAR fine him? A late race caution is exactly what they wanted! Look at how many cars blew up, hit the wall, or spun in the first 30 laps. Any of those probably would have been a caution late in the race, but NASCAR didn't want to slow the pace down. They had stage cautions to get through, and they wanted to have time at the end for an overtime. NASCAR can't let any race finish without overtime.

Just terrible. The 16 should have pitted and yet wrecks and causes a caution. Creed must be so deflated after this one. Don’t like seeing Cup guys winning in the Xfinity series.
