I'd have to say this inagural season was a smashing success. A great field of drivers, an excellent broadcasting crew (more Dario!) and just straight-up good racing without the gimmics. Tony and Ray really hit it out of the park.

This series is full of gimmicks. But what makes it awesome is that from day one, the series has known its identity and has stayed the course. It's an IROC style series that is intended for fun and entertainment. It's not trying to take itself seriously. That's one of the biggest problems with NASCAR that SRX has flat out avoided.

This is so fun to watch. NASCAR stock cars are so on edge that you can’t get away with half the stuff these drivers are doing with these cars. A paint chip isn’t gonna loose you 5 mph in an SRX car.

I'm not really a nascar fan but it's this type of stuff that fascinates me about the series. Seeing Paul Tracy drive dirty and then gets bullied by the entire field for his dirty driving. Any Waltrip interview. Seeing Castroneves and Speed in a heated exchange. Add Dario as a commentator as I've always like his working Formula E. I'll make more of an effort next year to keep up with this series.
