NASH FABCO LEXUS GX470 ROOF RACK INSTALLATION - BEST RACK MADE?

In this video, I quickly install Nash Fabco's roof rack for the GX470 along with their molle side panels. Not a sponsored video - paid out of my pocket and still feel this is the best built rack on the market. For sure, the best looking. It is slightly more narrow by 4-5" compared to others at 42.5", but it gets the job done. Great company to deal with - engineering is top notch.

Would love to know how the rotor packs workout ...with the bolts that close to paint..after weighted down and driving ? No vibration dings? I'm sure Nash made correction by the time I buy?

Great to hear! Light bar has had zero issues - used it only a few times though really. Same with the pods. No complaints at all! Just work, and work well. At this point, I would not change a thing.

I have not gotten it on the freeway quite yet. I am told there is virtually no added wind noise but will report back if there is.

I had replaced it two years ago and did not video. Ended up having to do it in a rush on a 122 degree day here in Phoenix and my camera kept overheating 😅Was not a bad process at all. Super easy in fact as these things go. No pain points and nothing ridiculous.

How did you get Lexus to repaint your GX? My GX's paint is peeling as well. It has the pearl white paint and is a 2008.

Depending on when you bought, new or used, lexus sent out letters to owners. I went to the closest local dealer for them to inspect the car and they handled it from there. You can also go down to your lexus dealer and ask about the campaign. Better hurry though, I think it was covered to 14 years or end of this year for the 08. Hopefully it is not expired. had mine done mid 2021.

I think you suppose to mount the molle panel on top of the side panel, not under the side panel.

Nash has custom brackets exactly for this purpose :) I have a set, pending a find a good deal on a 270.

8 month update? how's wind noise? are you getting rust on any of the parts? any problems so far?

ZERO issues. Some wind noise at freeway speeds (80ish here in Az). No complaints at all, highly recommend this rack.
