Anyone else remember the advert, "could Jade (?) sit on yours?" Or something like that, with a lady sat on it? I think I must have had a 1 man slippery-eel back in '95. It was brilliant!
@BobJones-pu6by5 күн бұрын
Yes remember the advert ..sure she was a nice looking blonde . My memory is not the greatest because of the partying in the 90 s. Did your titans mud flap around the edge have the same material as the main body's material . Or was it made from the light green material as the groundsheet.?

I really like the design and bought one in the early 2000s but the quality was just so poor. Even with a full winter overwrap I still had to sleep with a towel over my sleeping bag as the water would drip in like a leaky tap. Great in wind, just prey it doesn't rain!

My XL titan ripped when i was putting it up only 2 years old. How comes you guys dont contact people back who have had issues with faulty products?

Still peddling Velcro rod straps as a feature. 😂 it’s like car manufacturers bragging about electric windows.

Pre 94 slippery eels where the nuts. Then kevin brought a load of dodgy taped seems that unsealed themselves in a matter of days. 2 mates brought the 2000 days apart. I had a great time taking the piss as the taped seems litrally coming unstuck and hanging all over the place. Used to be british quality. Now chinese shitty.

Not had a newest one but the best, the TT Viper chameleon i had was the best titan i've had. I refuse to pay the extortionate price of these newest bivvies by the big brands, it's scandalous. I always go for a good second hand bivvy now at a more sensible price

The old chameleons, now there's a throwback! Serious bit of kit, if not a bit of a lump to drag around

@OfficialNashTackle thanks you guys/girls - it's the best bivvy ive had /owned in over 30 years of carp fishing 🎣 I wish there was a way forward with this as is perfect but it's not going to last forever maybe another 2 years 😫 im looking possibly at an aqua bivvy at the moment.
@ApexCypher_6 күн бұрын
Great bivvies but why hasn’t the weight and pack size reduced in 35 years?
@catchcarpcarter6 күн бұрын
If you wanna pay 2 grand for a carbon fibre framed bivvy and have multiple joints to make it smaller then they would make them but materials need to be a certain strength and in turn weight and the bivvy is only gonna get so smal before losing it's usable space
@ApexCypher_5 күн бұрын
@@catchcarpcarter That’s not factually correct. Tent manufacturers make tents with DAC poles that can withstand mountain winds and snow loading and they’re cheaper than some bivvies. Also the Aqua Armadillo had multiple joints but was super quick to erect and weighed less than 5kg. Bivvies have gone backwards in design.
@OfficialNashTackle4 күн бұрын
Weight and pack size was reduced massively with the release of the Hide models, if small and light is what you're after check them out 👌
@ApexCypher_4 күн бұрын
@ Thanks for the response. The packed length of the lightest Hide is 112cm, which is good but the packed diameter is way too big. Also 4.6kg isn’t lightweight. With the materials available today a packed diameter of half the size is possible and a weight of 2kg to 2.5kg. I’ve built a full size bivvy that is 2kg, happy to share the design with you if you like?
