The cave is unlocked based on your total money earned, but it's still good to befriend Demetrius if you have the winter foraging bundle, as he can send you that winter shell thing in the mail and you can potentially complete the community center in fall of year 1.

For Perfection 100% you do need to buy all recipes and craft the item at least once, but it never become unachievable. So, the flower dance recipe is available to buy every flower dance until you buy it.

Okay awesome! I always wondered cause I would watch videos and people would mention they can’t fully get perfection and I was confused what was preventing that! Really glad to hear that!

@@NashCrafter Maybe they were doing a challenge and wanted to complete perfection year 1? There's definitely a lot to keep track of with Stardew! Part of the fun though.

@@NashCrafter you also need the rarecrows! After you collect them all, you'll get a deluxe rarecrow recipe which is something you need to craft for perfection as well

you also need all the rarecrows so you get the deluxe rarecrow recipe and i don’t believe you can get that rarecrow anywhere else.

I have the same problem remembering if I've kept stuff for birthdays, CC, etc. How I remedied that was by placing a chest by the path exiting towards town and putting all the stuff needed for that in there. Just something that helps me! And yes, you need the tub of flowers recipe as part of the "craft everything" part of perfection! You do need the rarecrow too, but there are other years for that!

I'm not sure I've ever gotten to dance with someone year one. It's so hard to give enough loved gifts to get anyone to 4 hearts.

I’ve managed to do it with Shane because his birthday is before the dance, but it was mostly luck because he himself happened to send me a pizza, which I promptly gifted back to him. 😂

I’ve done it with sam because I wasted every bit of money I made (made sure to friend Caroline for the tea saplings) on pizzas and gifted the crap out of him a talked to him every day. It was hard, but I did it lol and he had a couple of requests on the board that helped a lot too.
