Hallo from good old Germany...i go fishing for carp and other species since 1990...and i am very impressed of your vids(Carl and Alex) !!! Not only it remembers me of my own "young days"(which you call "the old days"😊😊), there are a lot of things in these vids which inspire me to try (or to practise again) in my own style of fishing. Also very nice to see how effective you fish with the short scope rods under different conditions.Which model do you use? The 10ft 3lbs? Greets Micha

Curious as to what your water temperatures average in England during the winter and what is the coldest water you have caught them in? I live in Southwest Ohio in the United States, I didn't realize until recently that England doesn't get as cold as the northern United States does. Here it seems all carp activity stops below about 38° f (3.33 c). Once the water warms to about 40-42 f ( 4.5-5.5 c) they start getting active again. I've seen a couple videos from here in the states or guys are catching them through the ice but I'm certain they are catching them over warm water springs because the carp are really dark.

i noticed you used a single pop up did you bait up around it or just have it on its own. i know carp dont feed that much in the winter so do you just use a bright pop up and thats it ?
