a fishing byelaw often not known (me included) "When fishing with multiple rods and lines, each rod must be placed close together so that the distance between the butts of the rods does not exceed 3m. It is illegal to leave a rod and line unattended with its bait or hook in the water. Anglers must be able to exercise control over the rod and line at all times. "
