I think Frank is the greatest carp angler of our generation. That seems a sweeping statement at first, but hear me out. There are plenty of fish catching machines, naturally tuned in guys like Terry Hearn, hunters like Pecky, fish at all costs like Jim Shelley, time bandits that bore them out etc etc. But few of the out and out catchers contribute much in the way of innovation, and if they do then it’s often limited to say a particular rig. Frank on the other hand has created some of the most important aspects of carp fishing that we all take for granted. The silt rig that became the hinge stiff rig that took waters apart for years. High attract Fluro hookbaits, not just the colour idea but pioneering the use of elevated flavour levels. The throwing stick was his as well. But more importantly he’s no secret squirrel. When he gets an edge, he has a few years on it and then he shares it, often for no financial reward. A true legend. Often imitated but seldom bettered.

Frank Warwick should have made a lot of money from his bait innovations 100%, he just never went about it the right way. A true bait innovator just not savvy enough with commercially. He should have the biggest bait firm in the UK 100%. What a great guy.

2:55:20 all my best carp last summer were float fished 2ft from the edge, pellet, meat corn all on a size 12 hook same time, 6lb line, 18-25lb captures. Broke me bleedin arm mind. Need to try zigs more as it’s generally a breakfast lunch and tea time bite place so 2pm til dusk is pretty dead, plus some of these worm and maggot medusa toppings. I did actually try worm kebab once as I recall but probably got annoyed with tons of bream, can’t remember fully. No night fishing though so all too much to try with only 2 rods allowed 🙄 Get the camera on the bank you don’t need a crew, TA fishing will show you how. Your own channel will grow fast and the yt spondoolies will roll in

Thanks buddy by the way how are you mounting your spuds?
@EricPollarrd2 жыл бұрын
@@frankwarwick8068 I haven’t tried that style yet, used ordinary flat bed feeders with shop bought groundbait but I’ve been experimenting making cheap stuff from bread and bran (Graeme Pullen from TA Fishing style) and when I tried it briefly I noticed how the bran makes it harder to bind because it springs apart, all that’s needed is the perfect ratio. Or the fishingwithden channel, a brit guy who wins matches in Australia uses ground up chicken layer pellet (again infinitely cheaper than fishing shop scams) with bread crumb and the consistency is perfect.

Mate I’ve moved the previous company I was with simply never supported me with filming which we all know is vital and the kiss of death if your not in it. I have so much to offer on film I just need the chance I’m a bit sad I wasted so many years with the wrong brand loyalty is great but sometimes you cut your nose of to spite your face and still get no better thought of for it
