In „Johnny Cash - The Beast in me“ Franz Dobler wrote about the power of the Nashville Music Industry on almost everything, the image of an artist, the kind of songs and even on the musicians that recorded new songs in the studio…often not the artist‘s band, but musicians chosen by the management. The rule was: 1 hour in the Studio for 1 Song. Gong! That‘s the background to this song. Thanks for listening 🙏🏻

I dare say the big music bosses still make more money than most of the artists on their labels, even though artist have more freedom today to record what they want, and how they want to do it. Any art form should not be governed by money and greed, but in the real world money always rules! A thought-provoking and well-crafted song!
