The first 7 minutes are around Edgehill. That place is hardly even projects anymore. It's between Vanderbilt and Belmont and the surrounding areas are some of the most expensive real estate in the city. It's a project surrounded by the nicest, most gentrified section of town.

@@pesoooskk5235 the gov has the authority to move anyone out of anywhere in this country by imposing an eminent domain clause. that's why when i hear people say i own my own land, i laugh, no you just rent it from the gov. if the gov wants that property for something they can come in and take it. you will be forced to sell your land back to the gov if they impose an eminent domain on you. that's what happened to my friends uncle. the gov wanted his land for a highway, he tried to appeal it, but ended up losing the appeal and the gov told him they will buy his his property back based on the fair market value rate, but he needed to be gone from that property within 60 days or else they were going to not pay him for that land and arrest him for trespassing on gov owned land.

Zack Thayer man dodge city been known and ratchet way way before stain and bambino. Them niggas was in the 2000s turning up or recently with lil stain. 20 years ago before gentrification swept through the inner city and all the projects and hoods was still up shit was super live. Cheatham was only slept on because you had hoods like 12th dodge city 14th all right there. But the cheatem Salem town beef was legendary. Bloods vs crips. Just a street separating them niggas. Andrew Jackson was slept on because you had the bigger wilder jo Johnson right across the tracks. But cheatem and aj done had some major people come up out of these places.

the problem is in America there is no universal standards in place for projects and that all goes back to the local and state ran governments in how they handle these communities. this is why some projects look much better than other projects in America. i know where i live the local gov is pretty strict on who lives in project communities. the local agencies responsible for overseeing the housing projects in my area will do random checks, to make sure the only people that are living there are the ones listed on the section 8 forms and they make sure the living conditions are maintained as well. Also you can't have a felony record if you want to live there. As a result of all this, the projects in my areas are actually pretty decent looking with low violent crime. you really wouldn't know you were in the projects if you just drove by there.

I am not American, and I would very much like to know, given the collapse of other areas in other cities, if these aesthetically ugly but obviously dignified projects are the result of virtuous micro-realities or if there is a regional or national intent that aims at a real improvement towards the suburbs otherwise unlivable.I lean towards the first thesis but I would be happy to be proved wrong.
