In principle, what you propose is great. BUT, it's easier said than done. People doing tax work may not want to do ICE work. Think about it. The best the govt can do is reallocate the IRS auditor staff budget to ICE, but you shouldn't think it would be quick and effective. It would definitely take time. There's human resource searching, training, organization changes, etc. A LOT would need to happen for that to be successful.

I largely agree but we have a population issue if we slow down immigration. I think we need to invest heavily in our legal immigration system allowing more immigrants to come to the country quickly. So the smaller cities and town court systems can get them processed. 60,000 people is not alot of people IF our governor would delegate the tasks of dealing with them.
