Shawn, I love ya and love what you do. I’m all in with what you and others are trying to do, fight the fight asymmetrically on all fronts. From what I’ve seen of Struggle Jennings music, he’s fighting that fight too with the tools he has. A lot of good comments and I’d like to put some perspective on the above. There’s an active fight for the soul of our country and for our future. Our American culture has been eroded and those that have deployed to Sh*t holes recognize it. Restoring our culture is a big part of that fight, as culture is a driving force and what we’re seeing today is a result of our culture being eroded. Shawn, thanks again. And thanks for continuing the fight, as we are never out of the fight.

Do you have any idea who he's interviewing This isn't DJ Vlad or no jumper I watch Shawn, And yet have never been into the military My father was in the military I would have probably been in the military if I didn't get into trouble as a kid This man has changed hundreds of thousands if not millions of people's lives even if it's for 2 minutes and 37 seconds of a song That stops somebody from relapse or self-harm or anything like that struggle Jennings is a goddamn hero Not all heroes wear uniforms That man has been through some shit like I said I was never in the military but doing several stents in prison longest being 56 months on a max level yard, was a very similar thing and left me with some of the same mental health issues veterans go through thankfully I went from drugs gunfights and gangsters, to a loving husband & father of two, sober since 2017, owning my own company and no longer being part of the statistic& im proving the recidivism rate is wrong. And this man's musical presence in my life has helped with that positive change along with several other people and doing my own healing, You are super ignorant for watching a short from a couple hours interview and making assumptions sir, thank you for your service!

How many thugs will engage in deadly shootouts thinking about this story and how they will survive too. Meanwhile every round they fire has to stop somewhere. Will it be your ass he hits? Maybe someone you love. Good that he turned his life around but dramatizing this and glorifying it (it’s happening whether he intends it to or not, “the eye of the beholder”) is only gonna hurt many more people. I’m simply saying that this is not the platform for it IMHO.

That is only because you have never lived it. Once you have lived in a life not only if violence but anything that gives you an adrenaline rush you will crave it forever. Till the day you die. High level team sports, racing, motorcycles, military, or in this case street life, I feel sorry for those who live their lives without knowing who they truly are and what their limits are. Because without knowing that you have never lived. But, yes it is absolutely miserable most days living a domesticated life. You feel like an animal at the zoo pacing dreaming of being let loose just one more time!!!!!

I’m not sure I understand what you mean, however, he did what he did, but does not mean he’s a “miserable existence”. Every single person in this world has had they’re fair share of bs happen in they’re life. No to mention, allot of people are born in a very difficult life that unfortunately pushed them into that way of living. We as humans have our own natural survival instincts and with being said, we as humans will do what we have to do to survive. He’s done well for himself but he had to go through hell to get there.

@@gregghoffmann42 weed is just everywhere here lol. When I was younger, it wasn't even worth selling bud UNLESS you had at least 5-10lb to dump off regularly. I used to give my little cousin a Lb & He'd roll every bit of it into joints & sell em for $5 a pop🤣 little dude made a killing!!! But nobody ever got hurt or jammed up over weed really. And I suppose 8 Oz of blow isn't "meezly" to some people, especially the folks who shot up my boys car over it. But that was just bs he was gonna bring to a weekend festival party type deal. Wasn't anything he would have grabbed to actually make money.. he could go get bricks anytime he wanted, 8 Oz wasn't shit lol but you're right, half lb will still get u federal distribution charges just as well. I was just shit lucky to have never done time over drug's. I did ALLOT of stupid shit when I was younger 🤦 but like u said , gotta make money & eat.. I'm just glad I smartened up & stopped before all this fentanyl BS started.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: =-= -(How that Christ died - he shed his blood) Romans 3:25 Whom God hath sent forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remissions of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Hebrews 10:10 By the which we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all =-= Once Saved Always Saved Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise. @0:55 min mark, the guest seems to omit any info on who started the fight, and also who started the shooting. Are we supposed to just assume he was a lawful self-defender, who was lawfully carrying a gun, was not an initial aggressor, 😊and only fired after someone else brandished their gun? Because if any of that is NOT what happened, he committed a very serious crime. And why is this platform giving a criminal such featured exposure?

@skillzorz101 he was doing music before prison. Prison gave him the chance to focus on what was necessary. Came home laser focused. Wasn't trying to shit on your post, just hoping to add to it.

In the oilfield I had an older gentleman for a PR rep that lost both his legs in the Korean War. One of the best leaders of young men that I've ever met. He also was a gang member before that... And the service changed, and saved, his life. Some folks in the comments need to be less uppity.

Crazy to think how this experience is so Midwest/Southern. This is the "legacy" experience that people need to hear to contextualize how horrible the war on drugs was and still is for Americans, young men in particular. These are the people who need to run the weed business and be the business owners guiding the youthful angst of today into well intentioned and disciplined men.
