This is among the most intense single-man gunfights ever recounted on the Shawn Ryan Show, and quite literally on any podcast. Tony Cowden shares the raw details of a prolonged engagement after being compromised. He found himself all alone, his partner having been killed at the outset of the fight. In the end, he had (9) 9mm rounds and (14) 5.56 rounds remaining.

If you were to fall flat you could break bones and crack your head open. I've also missed a rung of a ladder and fell to the ground stiff legged from only 3 feet up, and that really hurt my knee. I dont trust someone who says "yeah I fell two stories man, it hurt!" and doesnt say "I broke all these bones and fractured my skull"

Served with the OSS in WWII and worked with the Agency until the early 90s. He even visited me as a kid in Honduras, his name is on the US Special Operations Honor Roll, Lt. Michael DeMarco OSS. Apparently they broke up the OSS and put him into the Agency. We were always told he was a chemical engineer, it was strange because he was all over South America from the 60s to the 90s.
