Nashville has really changed a lot since I was a soldier at Ft Campbell in the 70's. After 40 years of driving a truck out of Dallas/Ft Worth, I'm headed back to Nashville(the area) since I recently retired. Lookimg forward to visiting the "new" Nashville. Thanks for the tour guys!

Nashville is such a fun city. It is very loud. If you get to go back to the Grand Ole Opry the backstage tour is worth it. Angela is a huge country fan and getting to stand in the circle was a bucket list for her. Before COVID you could get tickets and be on the stage for part of the show.

There is a Cooter's in downtown Gatlinburg in the Great Smoky Mtns N P. too. Great video! Last time we were there, we went to Dierk Bentley's restaurant and he was actually there eating dinner. He did a photo op afterwards. So we got a selfie with him.

If you're ever back this way, you should take time to check out the Bicentennial Mall -It a park built to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Tennessee's statehood. and features an ampitheatre, a history wall, numerous sculptures and a 95 bell carillon.

the "circle" at opryland was cut from the stage at the ryman. music at opryland sucks, compared to a show at the ryman. emmy lou harris was behind the renovation of the ryman, i've seen her there 3 times and johnny cash once in 1968. shows at the station inn and the bluebird are the best small venues to hear music. i live north of seattle, the trip to nashville to hear music is way better than driving to downtown seattle. thanks for the brief tour.

I was so awestruck when I went to Ernest Tubbs record shop in downtown Nashville, it’s where a lot of old timers started, Loretta Lynn, Roy Cuff, and many others. I would stare at the steps to the microphone wondering how many famous feet had been there nervously performing. An amazing yet expensive city. 👍🏻

I had to chuckled at your comments about the noise. I've lived in Nashville since 1992. When I came here there was music everywhere. It was loud but so lively and interesting. Since Nashville has become a popular place to move to, the new residents have been very successful in restricting and reducing where music can be played due to noise. I don't even recognize this city any more, it's just generic.

I'm with TJ - The Dukes of Hazzard was my favorite show growing up. In the late 70's I refused to get into the family car unless my mom rolled down the window so I could crawl in like the Dukes. That came to an unfortunate end when I tried to slide across the hood and put a big dent right in the center. That move is not as easy as it looks on TV for a 7th grader...

We spent time in Nashville for our anniversary in 2019. We didn’t do as much in downtown as you did. We visited the Hermitage and Cheekwood Estate. I also wanted to take photos of some of the artwork on buildings around Nashville. It was a lot of fun. We didn’t take our trailer - but stayed in a hotel. I really wanted to walk across the pedestrian bridge but we didn’t have time enough for that. We did enjoy the downtown mall going from the museum to the Capitol. There is a market there that has awesome food! Glad you had a good time in Nashville. I would agree it is expensive in Nashville. Looks like you went down 24 past Nickajack Lake. You weren’t too far from us. Safe travels.

Enjoyed the video. I like Nashville. I live in Atlanta and visit Nashville 3 or 4 times a year. It is expensive. Parking near Broadway will run you around $30/day. Most of the bars have live bands all day and night, most are very good. I usually catch a show at the Grand Ole Opry - 2 or 3 well known performers will put on a 2 hour show, but it can cost around $100. The circle in the floor is from the Ryman. Stay safe.

Hello I'm a local of Nashville Tennessee actually I've lived here all my life 57 years. Back in the 70s Nashville was a rundown dirty City. Full of prostitutes drug deals so most people did not go downtown. They built opryland amusement park in 1972. So since downtown Nashville was such a scuzzy place. it was a brilliant idea to go on and build the Grand Ole Opry next to opryland. Unfortunately opryland shut down in the late 90s. If you ever come back to Nashville I would love to give you some pointers. There's a cemetery in Nashville where a lot of country music singers are buried. plus there's places that you can go were actually the country music singers have either live there or still living there. I know Nashville like the back of my hand. Just let me know okay cuz I again I will be more than happy to let you know some places of interest that you may like that will not cost you an arm and a leg. Nashville just like any other city that's touristy it can be very pricey.

Planning is where it's at. Nashville has brought the players who know how to steal, not unlike Colorado Springs. I can't stand the traffic. But, if you camp in a tent in Tennessee State Parks, and they are everywhere, it was $7 a night a couple years ago and it was peaceful. The people from the millennium want to pay hugely to get fat .Libbies.
