When I found out she is German I was absolutely floored. Her accent in "Paris Texas" is not only without the slightest trace of a foreign accent but it's a particular rural Texas country girl accent that's flawless and Americans not from that region can't even come close to getting it right. I'll never forget it. She didn't get the part on the strength of her father's name. She got it because she has real talent.

I had always hoped she would do more movies but she decided to raise her family instead. Incredibly talented and charismatic actress right from her start. Her beauty beyond words, a new-born Ingrid Bergmann . I remember seeing her in real life in Munich when she was just 16. Drop dead gorgeous! She had that rare charisma like being out of the real world, a fairy. Hope she is happy

She may have peaked too soon. Already foxy at 14, by 17 she was a real beauty. Still appealing at 50, things started to go badly at 53. Nature is especially cruel towards most women (I held up until 69 fairly well, but no longer at 72). A marvelous actor, and someone I imagine is an intriguing person in real life. In retrospect, I should NOT have watched "Tess" with my fianc'ee--she caught me drooling!
