NASTY LUV BUILD: Part 18 | Ford 9" Install!

Today we installed a Quick Performance Ford 9" rear end in the Chevy Luv! the install went smooth and it's getting ever closer to ripping down the streets!

I would just cut those u-bolts with a zip wheel and chase the thread with a die and call it good. I'm loving this build, I just recently found your channel

Haha I know! They’re supposed to be cut to length but I didn’t have anything to cut them with😂

They are Called a Centre bolt They hold the leaves together and act as the centering pin for the diff ! You’ll be able to get new one at your local spares shop

Hey mate love this build so much, do you have a link to the exact differential housing kit you brought from quick performance? Is it pre-made already for Chevy luv? Also what diff /ratio you go?

It’s a premade kit for the Chevy s10, I used a 3.50 ratio

A to z performance except for s as in spring which we know nothing about. and those lowering blocks looked like aluminum ... I really hope they were because if this thing makes any kind of power it's going to shatter the blocks and spit the rear out while folding in the fenders... it should make for quite a video. But seriously blocks are never a good idea but if you have to use them definitely don't use aluminum.

So I’ve been told lol, I really just wanted the diff in the truck. But I’ve decided once I have the spare cash this winter I’m going to pull the bed off, do a triangulated 4 link, and clean up the frame.

Please dont use the stock leafs there not rated for the torque the last thing you want is to rip a leaf spring in half doing a pull

Am I supposed to know everything? This is my first real build, sorry I’m not a super master expert like you. But I mean, I did the whole build myself, and the truck runs and drives excellent so obviously I know something.
