Great video! I could watch nasty stuff like that for hours n hours. Don Suttons 12-6 curve ball. Bob Gibson Game 1 of the '67 World Series (Gibson for that complete game had several pitches that made you say....HOW N HELL IS ANYONE SUPPOSED TO HIT THAT!!!) Sidenote on that Game 1 vs the Tigers is how NBC very smartly and very innovatively used the camera behind the catcher on several pitches to capture just how the ball moved and the difficulty Tim McCarver had in catching them. How 'bout Steve Carltons slider? BTW...the slider Chris Sale threw to Tori Hunter was down right nasty. Tim Wakefields knuckleball. If Wakefield was right, he could have had multiple no hit games. Outstanding video. We want more of these 'bro!

0:23 how the hell is that not a balk with him sitting there twitching his leg while he's set?
@hdjsui9 жыл бұрын
Its not like he put his arm back. A lot of people take a step back before they pitch
@Guy_de_Loimbard9 жыл бұрын
+hdjsui It doesn't matter if he put his arm back. And yes, many pitchers take a step back first with their glove-side leg when pitching from the wind-up, as part of their pitching motion. That's legal from the wind-up. This guy is pitching from the stretch. Once you come set, you can't move your legs (or your torso for that matter) until you either a) step off the rubber, b) start your pitch, or b) start a pick-off throw to an occupied base. If you move a leg and then just stop without doing any of the above, that's a balk. The balk call is a thing of mystery for sure. I've seen nearly imperceptible flinches while set get called a balk. This guy by contrast is twitching like has Restless Leg Syndrome. It really doesn't get much more obvious than that and I can't figure out why none of the umps called it.
@hdjsui9 жыл бұрын
+DroverChicago yah i geuss i dont know because no one ever gets called for it
