lyrics:
Unforgettable
That's what you are,
Unforgettable
Tho' near or far.
Like a song of love that clings to me,
How the thought of you does things to me.
Never before
Has someone been more...
Unforgettable
In every way,
And forever more
That's how you'll stay.
That's why, darling, it's incredible
That someone so unforgettable
Thinks that I am
Unforgettable, too.
[interlude]
Unforgettable
In every way,
And forever more
That's how you'll stay.
That's why, darling, it's incredible
That someone so unforgettable
Thinks that I am
Unforgettable, too.

And I absolutely loved that virtual duet with Natalie Cole & her father Nat of which I own the CD/DVD set. Listening to this music brings me to tears reminiscing of my mom's favorite singer, Nat King Cole. So grateful 🙏 I was brought up listening to his sweet voice. Missing his daughter Natalie & her beautiful voice also. Such GREAT talent between the two & what a GREAT time to honor my mom on Mother's Day with. Happy 10th Mother's Day mom in Heaven & RIP to Nat & Natalie King Cole, Michele L. Strongoni.

So sorry for your loss! We lost my Aunt 5 months ago, very suddenly and it was absolutely reeling for my family. Turns out she died from covid-19. If the hadn't lost her test, she would have been calles the first to die in our state. We found out she was found delirious on Saturday morning and Sunday morning she was gone. She had thought she had strep throat on the Thursday, but the ER just sent her home. So covid has Strep throat symptoms. Have heard several interviews on tv where they mentioned their loved ones had that and they are just now starting to connect the dots. She had all kinds of symptoms that a ry e now known but not then. My youngest cousin was able to get there just before they transferred her to a bigger hospital (that was already in lockdown). She was already unconscious and intubated. When she died in the hospital, she was alone. My other cousins did not get any type of good bye. The cousin that got to say goodbye got covid-19 symptoms 1 week later, test came back negative but at the time the tests had a extremely low accuracy rate. In the hospitals they would have to take the test on a person several times to get a accurate test. He said he had never been so sick and he almost went to seek help, but he is a anesthesiologist (has a doctorate in it actually) so he was able to know how to handle his symptoms a little bit and did not want to burden the overworked hospital staff. My Aunt was the last living member of my Mom's family (her big sister) and it really it heard hard. She and my 3 cousins are the only family (besides my siblings and parents of course) that we have ever had a relationship with, my Dad's side not really ever showing a interest in having a family relationship. So it is really hard to loss the only Aunt I have had a relationship with. Family is so precious to us and we are close to each other. Sorry for rambling but this song and your comment brought out something and I just needed to let it out. I am so sorry for your loss and believe when I say I feel your pain!

Je ne l'en remercierai jamais assez, tant ça m'a donné une culture musicale précieuse pour... apprendre moi même à jouer la musique et à élargir mes horizons sonores. My grandmother had alzheimer's and she sat and would talk about how she missed my grandfather who had just passed away when this song came on. She couldn't remember my name or any of her kids names and was having trouble remembering how to speak yet she would be clear as day when she talked about him. Made me cry everytime.

In her final years my brothers & I had to place our beloved mother in a nursing home. Slowly she became withdrawn & depressed which was heartbreaking for us to witness. When my mom 1st came here from Ireland at the age of 18, she was incredibly homesick. But she *loved* listening to Nat King Cole. With that in mind, I brought a tape of his music to my mom & placed the earphones on her. She *instantly* came alive & started singing along. The look on her face was priceless and was a moment I'll never forget. Thank you Nat!

"THIS IS A TRUE STORY: It was raining hard in Santa Monica, California that night and the lady's car had broken down!!! The lady had been walking for only a few minutes, when a man stopped and offered her a ride. He was white - she was black and this was February 15, 1965!!! She was well dressed - nice looking - and even though she had an umbrella - she was almost soaked to the bone - as they say! She was obviously in some distress probably because her car broken down!! So the man quickly took her to her destination - the local hospital in Santa Monica - where she was going to see someone. Well, he figured, that explained her distress - probably an ill friend in the hospital. She thanked him very much - and said goodbye. That was the last that the man thought about the episode. This was simply a random act of kindness and nothing more and the color of their skin meant nothing to the woman or the man!! She needed help - and he helped her - they both felt good about it. The very next week - a brand new large color TV was delivered to the mans house. He had no idea who bought it for him - but he'd take it - he could not afford any TV - much less one of those expensive, new color TVs!! A color TV would have easily cost him nearly all of a months wages! He opened an envelope that was delivered with the TV and a small note read: "Thank you for the ride on that rainy night. I got to the hospital in time to tell my husband that I truly loved him - and to tell him "Goodbye" just before he died. This was because you gave me a ride. I am forever grateful to you. Thank you again, and may God Bless you - as He has blessed me - with you!" And it was signed Maria Cole - wife of Nat King Cole!! Nat King Cole died in Santa Monica, California on February 15, 1965 of lung cancer - at the age of 45. Remember this story - if you happen to be driving on some rainy night and see someone walking in the rain. They will appreciate a ride - regardless of who they are. But you will ever know who they are - if you just drive away!! Enjoy this day!!!" ytcomment
