Yeah, I will not loose it entirely! Never! Actually you can´t really....loose it. Once I had a certain time IN THE WATER, I could always regain it after a while of practicing regularily..

ps.. do these "athletes" ever show brain damage from prolonged pauses without oxygen??

it has been researched, I remember there is some temporary change in the brain after performing a long static apnea stunt, but apparantly it goes back to normal after 8-10 hours. but you know... by living life you burn brain cells, thats just how it is. getting hammered with alcohol is probably the biggest brain cell consumer to the average person if you want to be perfectly safe however, don't perform more than one apnea a day. or one in the morning and one in the evening, at least 8-10 hours apart.

Oh, also keep in mind that they are not 'without oxygen' for the most part. Cerebral hypoxia probably only occurs in the very last minute or so
