Hi! I have a question. If I have a favorite top that is jersey and I want to make a cotton version, is that possible? I don't have to stretch it to put it on, so I think it can work. What are your thoughts?

Hey natalia! I luv your vids❤ so I have a doubt abt this vid why do we leave seam allowances and could you post a video demonstrating how to stitch that tank top using the pattern we made

For the neckline and bottom you need to leave seam allowance so that you can double fold the edge and sew down it to hem it so that it has a clean finish and not a raw edge. For the side of the body and top of the sleeve seam allowance thats where you join the front and back together. You sew x (whatever amount your seam allowance is) away from the edge of the fabric and thats what gets eaten up and goes inside the tank. You basically add seam allowance to add extra space that you're going to use up in the construction so that when you're done it goes back to the size you originally traced

Hello! doesn't it mess things up that you included the bias tape or the neckline and arm bands?

Im very beginner to sewing so not sure how to word this, but is there any way to make a pattern(clone) a dress that had multiple seams without taking it apart? Like the bust is a separate part, the shoulders are as well.. all sewn together or does this really only work for the simpler garments? I would like to clone a dress without taking it apart but not sure how
