The issue with George Galloway is that even when he is right, he manages to be right for the wrong reasons. He was against the Iraq war primarily because he was a MASSIVE fan of Saddam Hussein, not because he is a genuine anti-imperialist. He has shown he is more then willing to excuse the imperialist acts of other countries. Like Russia or China, if its convenient for him to do so.

Like many men who are bald and vain he doesn't realise that nothing says you're bald and vain like wearing your hat indoors, even under studio lights. Galloway is yesterday's man, the equivalent of those Members of Parliament who used to go to the Eastern Bloc countries and come back stating how impressed they were while there and how we were far too hard on them. The man has praised the Soviet Union and China - China, for goodness sake - for their "achievements". It is actually one of the points emphasised by his Workers' Party which is mind-boggling when you think of how those regimes treated their people. Then there was the infamous lauding of Saddam... As for Sunak, I'm too polite to say publicly what I think of that man.

For a while I was kinda obsessed with religious conversions/de-conversions (if people can change their mind on THAT, they can change it on anything) and this kind of massive social disruption (whatever happens, I don't think she's on any of the ERG member's Christmas card list now) and village preacher/sceptic level disagreements was the most common way the process started.

I would trust Galloway's word over every other MP. When his tells the truth about how he feels about gay marriage etc which he knows won't be popular to a large number of people and indeed with me, it just makes me trust him more to tell the truth over other issues.
