Moment same here, gives the filmic pro effect to the Moment app can really help. I like the focus and clarity of the app but knowing what is in focus with lines can really help me in the long run

Great advice. There's one advice that most of these videos seem to forget about though -which should definitely be a top one: if you don't yet have the expereince taking photos (and let's exclude point-n-shoot here), you will get things wrong first - but that's only natural. Your first dozen/hindred attempts will mostly be crap (save a handful of lucky hits) - and that's not becausse you are a crap photographer, but becausse you don't yet have the experience. How can you get the experience? Go, and take pictures. a lot of them. A ton. Hundreds. Thousands, if you can. See what you think is good in those images, and what isn't. Practice what you think needs more practice - go, and shoot some more pictures! Ask your friends what they thiink is good and what isn't, about your photos. Ask ordinary people, not photographers and experts. Look for patterns in the feedback - is there anything many people mention as negatives/positives? Practice makes perfect. Luuckily, with a smartphone practice is cheap, easy and straightforward. Don't expect things to work right away - if you give them time, they eventually will - some earlier than you'd think, some later. And, last, but not least: have fun ;)

Downloaded the app since it was released. I'm using the iPhone X and I just noticed between Moment and the built in Camera app that the Camera can be opened faster. Would be nice if you guys can update that on the next firmware too! More power!

Not everyone will have accessories like the one your using. It had been much better if you demonstrated something out of the standard smartphone with the help from downloading the moment apps. Not a practical suggestion, I'm sorry...

If you have a iphone you only can modify de iso but with another phone like a Samsung (obviusly a good one like a note or a galaxy) you can modify all the settings that she say on the video ...btw you can do the same with a Huawei but again with a good one

Most people probably aren't going to carry that little lens around if you're gonna use one of those just use a regular camera.

Just letting everyone know that if you shoot video selecting anamorphic lense option without attaching anamorphic lens.. after desqueezing, the video comes out in 21:9 ratio, which looks awesome. Attach any wide angle lens and use the same setting, you ll be amazed by the result. Good work moment team.

You guys made a great app!! My phone's camera app usually had some issues with the white balance and focus. But now I can fix it! I'm using the Android version. Hopefully you add the video recording feature soon😄

Hoping Moment builds out the app and integrates with Movi. Why do you want to stop using Filmic Pro? Have you tried Mavis?

Filmic Pro is just a pain to use sometimes. Battery drainer and the UI hides the shutter speed and ISO values. I've looked at Mavis and it's a mess.

How is Mavis a mess? I love having such large scopes. Filmic Pro is just so handy if you monitor with an iPad. That said the latest video on my channel was shot with the default iPhone X camera, edited in iMovie.

Very useful tips, thks. The Moment App looks very useful. I’m not sure the Raw photos of the canopy and street actually made for better images, for me the definition of the marble wall and the quality of the sun lite on the pavement came across better in the jpg. But the varying of the ISO. certainly help a lot.

Nice work on making this a little less intimidating. I've watched a bunch of these sorts of vids, but I took notes this time to hopefully help me out. I find that I get too fiddly with all of these settings and often miss my shots (of my kids, etc.) so it's good to know what they're each meant to do. One note on the app: the placement of the 1X/2X button as an overlay on the image is not working for me. I far prefer Halide's interface, where it's down on the same strip of black as the shutter button. Just my two cents. Otherwise, the app is really great. P.S. I used my Moment Tele and Wide on my recent vacation down the east coast and should have the footage up soon. It worked out really well.
