FreedomFighter2112 this is why losing at something when you’re young literally doesn’t mean you’re not gonna be more successful when you’re older. she worked really hard and she has one of the best belts ive heard. imo she was better than the 2nd girl.

Let's see: Neither one of those girls made it to the finals nor are they super-divas. Natalie is a crazy awesome super-diva who has toured with Wicked and Les Miz, been on Broadway, sung at 54 Below, and had Simon Cowell call her "sweetheart." Hmmm........
@dnek16449 жыл бұрын

I watched this video cause I thought you were going to be a finalist singing some whitney. I've never really watched that show. Now I know why. Fame is fleeting. Years will weed out the people without talent. I think your career has surpassed a lot of peoples'. You have an amazing talent, and you've never given up. Keep going, I want to see you on Broadway.
@LexaTerrestrialx8 жыл бұрын
+echoingamy American Idol apparently already has people set up in there that they know they are going to pick to be the winner.. and a whole lot of other "pons" that distract people. it's crazy stupid.
@echoingamy8 жыл бұрын
My sister used to say, I already know who I want to win, and if they don't win it's not worth watching. I started watching an episode with a really talented kid who was rejected in Hollywood week. I never watched past that episode. It was good exposure for him. I buy his music, and i've been to some shows. But yeah, it's misleading and hurtful to pretend to give someone a chance at their dream

Her technique destroys everyone to ever appear on AI. Her resonance and projection is brilliant. Her head voice is super resonant. Simon Cowell. GTH. lmao What's even worse is that the girl who got through didn't even have proper placement and didn't even support that C#5 properly lmao shows how much the judges of AI knows about singing.
@aoife_5 жыл бұрын
chung2F5 he’s not always just looking for a perfect singer, he’s looking for the whole package. Someone who can fit into his box and be sold nicely under an images of his choosing. I think this is the reason why music today has gotten so awful

I know it's stupid but this made me properly annoyed! Gina needed some serious coaching from Natalie, haha. Every time I come across the video, all I want to say is Janay who, Gina whoooo? Sorry but too many incredible singers have slipped through the cracks, mindlessly on the judges part, and have come back to prove they are by far the strongest, out of this world amazing singers like Natalie Weiss and Tori Kelly. They both have more talent in their pinky fingers than most people in this world and are 2 of the most successful performers to this day. How amazing!

@dnek16449 жыл бұрын
Why are so many people hating on Janay and Gina in this video? Yeah ok, Natalie is more successful than them in the entertainment world now, but who cares? Natalie didn't really sing this song that well, so she got cut. The judges liked the other two girls better, so they stayed. Big deal. This happened over 10 years ago so it really doesn't matter at this point. And this show is not only reality TV (the lowest and most shallow form of television), but it's also a glorified talent show. At the end of the day, this was just another audition Natalie went on and she didn't make it. The other two girls made it a few rounds further but also didn't win it. That's just how it goes down in show business. You go on a bunch of auditions and you don't get the majority of them. What's done is done. Just enjoy this footage for what it is (an old American Idol audition) and don't take it so seriously.
@dlh79896 жыл бұрын
Agree. Not like anybody did anything wrong here, it's a stressful situation, they were all young and inexperienced and had to get a make-or-break performance out together with strangers overnight. You can see why Natalie would want to get some interesting choreography down, but also why Janay would be annoyed that they weren't working on the music. And as far as whether the judges made the right call in terms of overall talent, obviously that's not even the point. They're just looking at whatever's put right in front of them and they had to sit through dozens of these things that day and make some fast decisions based on not much. It just is what it is. I think it's pretty cool of Natalie to put this up, it's sad to see her disappointment at the failure but at the same time it must have been pretty exciting to be on this show right when it was most popular and probably an interesting learning experience for her.

she has a great voice but i can see why she was sent home as opposed to the other girls. they're looking not looking for broadway voices. i think it's hard for lots of people who start off in musicals to tone down certain elements in their voice that don't work for pop music :/
